Very warm and thick wool socks!
Very nice, thick socks. These wool socks are very comfortable, and keeps legs warm during winter. Unlike other wool socks I bought before, these are surprisingly thick, better made. More wool for the money, i felt.Proper care is needed, as i notice they show some wear ( small fiber popouts ).

Warm, thick wool socks - but a bit scratchy
These socks are warm and thick, and they run a bit large, but that's to be expected with wool socks. My only complaint is that they are not super soft, and they are rather scratchy, which is annoying but not terrible.

I love this sock.
Because of an injury and nerve damage in one leg and foot, I am very particular about socks. I really, really like these socks. They are nice, thick socks that fit well and stay in place. They don't bunch up or cause pressure points. They are reasonably warm as would be expected, and with a liner sock are comfortably warm. I bought three pairs, one of each color, and liked them so much I ordered four more pairs.

EXCELLENT
These are amazing hiking socks. I just got back from a weeklong backpacking trip on the Colorado Trail and these socks were fantastic. They kept my feet warm and dry and helped prevent blisters. I put on a pair of Darn tough socks for 2 HOURS and I already started getting blisters!!! I had to switch back to these socks. Would recommend!!

Super scratchy!
I have never experienced such a scratchy, irritating sock. Took them off within minutes of 1st wearing. I soaked them in hair conditioner which is supposed to help but this made no improvement. I agree with another reviewer that these might be wearable if you have a liner sock on underneath. I wish I had read the reviews prior to purchasing them. I have enjoyed other Wigwam socks over the yrs so this is really disappointing. Are you listening, Wigwam?

It feels like I'm wearing socks made from Brillo pads
These are the most uncomfortable socks I've ever worn. It feels like I'm wearing socks made from Brillo pads. The thickness and fit are good, but they itch constantly.

Quality as expected
The Large sock fit my feet appropriately (good snugness, not too big, not too tight, I'm 11.5 mens US, normal width). They keep your feet warmer than regular (cotton) socks, but I have had warmer ones, and also ones that were as warm while being less rough against the skin (the sock felt a tad bit more abrasive than my other wool socks, only slightly abated by a few times in the wash). My only real gripe is the height of this sock as it runs up my leg — I made note of the length before I bought it and I thought it would be fine but it's actually not as fine as I thought it would be because (being 6'2") I have long legs and these rise up less than midway up my calf, at which point they lack the grip to stay up so they fall down slightly. They're not super loose or anything, just not particularly "snug n' cozy" against my calves compared to my other socks, that's all. No loss of stars for that; I knew what I was getting and made a tactical miscalculation, that's all. :)

So comfy
These socks are very warm but also breathable so no perspiring. I wore them over lightweight socks with sandals all winter in Maine, because I had a foot injury and couldn't wear regular shoes. My feet were never cold. Nice color too, a little dressier than the grey, but I love both.
