At a medical research facility in Puerto Rico, daring neuroscientist Will Foster (Keanu Reeves) is on the verge of successfully transferring human consciousness into a robot when his family is tragically killed in a car crash. Not wanting to say goodbye to his wife (Alice Eve) and three children, Will recruits his colleague Ed (Thomas Middleditch) on an audacious mission to preserve their minds and transfer them into secretly-grown clone bodies...Soon discovering that playing God has its downsides, Will battles against the clock and the physical laws of science themselves to resurrect his loving family. When success appears to be within reach, Will finds himself pitted against a sinister government-controlled laboratory and a shady police task force who will stop at nothing to find the key to the incredible scientific breakthrough...Offering a fresh take on the Frankenstein myth, Replicas is a taut and action-packed sci-fi thriller about family, loss and the dangerous questions surrounding emerging scientific technologies.Starring Keanu Reeves (The John Wick Franchise, The Matrix), Alice Eve (Star Trek: Into Darkness), Thomas Middleditch (Silicon Valley) and John Ortiz (Kong: Skull Island). Directed by Jeffery Nachmanoff (The Day After Tomorrow) and produced by Stephen Hamel (Passengers), Lorenzo di Bonaventura (Constantine, Transformers), Keanu Reeves, Luis Riefkohl and Mark Gao.

'WILL FOSTER' RISKS ALL TO GET HIS FAMILY BACK
This is a film that has received many negative reviews from critics and reviewers alike....what I can say is that it's a sci-fi fantasy that is certainly far-fetched and has many unexplained moments, however,The film tells of how Will Foster a synthetic biologist who is attempting to perfect the transfer of the mind of a dead soldier to an android, a project that has its problems...the management threatening to close the program down -Will takes his family on a boating trip, however, on the way the car is involved in a horrendous accident, Will (Keanu Reeves) survives but his wife Mona (Alice Eve) and children Matt (Emjay Anthony) Sophie (Emily Alyn Lind ) and youngest Zoe ( Emily Alyn Lind) die.Against all that is ethical Will with the help of friend and colleague Ed Whittle (Thomas Middleditch)at the research centre will with all the risks involved, attempt to bring his family back. The risk is great if they succeed against all odds, it would pit them against both the laboratory and indeed the law. This is a better watch than many suggest, I myself enjoyed it -I recommend giving the film a go, maybe catch it on a movie-channel (It can i believe be hired to watch on Prime)

Replicas Dvd
The Dvd was enjoyable and took a look at cloning from a different angle. At first I thought it was going to be a rehash of the android/ai genre, but it quickly became apparent that the story was different.

Average sci fi!!
A pretty average film, Reeves is not the best actor in the world imho best film he ever did was , wait for it, yep you guessed it, Point Break, a pretty much forgettable film, not very good acting by any of the cast really, passed an otherwise boring evening and that's about it, I would not rush to buy this at any rate, unless you are a massive Keanu Reeves fan!!!

Shoulda, woulda, coulda?
As Sci fi I can't fault it... Dubious about some of the tec stuff but I'm no expert. Great casting and performances. It expands on the jurrasic Park theory of just because you can does it mean you should....but that's another story.
