Great Deep Fat Fryer
This is my second De Longhi Rotofry - I damaged the previous one! They are brilliant. Great temperature control, very low fat or oil requirement. Sadly De Longhi no longer sell these in UK so it came from Germany fitted with a European plug which I had to change but I knew that before I bought it. Not a problem. I don't understand why the UK market turned it's nose up at this great product.Update: After being used only a few times the temperature indicator light has failed - getting a repair under warranty is not going to be easy.Further update - as predicted, getting the repair is proving difficult. The seller (from Italy not Germany btw!) has said that they will contact the manufacturer but that was almost two weeks ago. I have heard nothing since despite a reminder email. Amazon hasn't been helpful either.

It uses very little power
so easy to use only needs half the oil as a standard fryer and because it rotates your chips are alway evenly cooked .

absolute rubbish
I bought one of these, and it failed on it's 4th use, I tried emailing the seller.. no reply, so, I stripped the unit only to find that the element had failed, the clever thing is, the element is welded to the pan base and cannot be seperated, this would mean changing the entire assembly, on an extensive search on line, I descovered that parts are not available for this item, as these are made in China to a much lower spec compared to the original Roto fryer. Shame on Delonghi, I have dumped mine and would advise anyone not to buy this Item, total rubbish.

great
Great. Fries without making everything soggy with oil. Everything is crisp on the outside and soft in the mddle.

This is dangerous
I have used the fryer about 50 times over 2.5 years. The retracting ‘nib’ that holds the basket of cooked food in place now fails. This means that if you try to tip fryed food onto plate the basket swings free and fryed food spills everywhereThis design should never have passed production control. A real pity because I have other Delonghi products which work well.I am so concerned about the danger that I will have to replace it.

This item came from Germany and had on it a continantal plug.
The instructions that came with it stated the plug must be cut off and a 15amp fused plug used to replace it. It is a complete pain to do. Had I known in advance I would have ordered it elsewhere.
