Very easy to install with provided stainless steel screws. I also used some clear, marine sealant to make sure no water gets into the mounting holes.I mounted 2 transducers with half inch stainless steel flat head screws.Looks good and saves my transom from any additional holes in the future.Highly recommended!

This is a must on todays boat transoms. I wish I would have done this 4 transducers ago, but live and learn. I recently upgraded my boat's electronics, and had to install another new transducer. At this point my boat has had 8 holes drilled into the transom. I patched, and sealed them up, but with this product no more holes into the boat ( other than it's mounting screws, 2). This plate covers over all my previous holes, plus looks great. It was easy to install, I tapped my new mount holes, and applied a very generous amount of Loctite Marine sealant/adhesive. It's solid, easy to drill for my new transducer screws. I'd recommend this as a easy way to upgrade your electronics transducer mount. No more boat holes, other than the ones on the road when headed to the ramp. Last bit of advice, use better quality screws, or bolts. I used #10 oval head ,316 SS bolts.

Overall the board is very sturdy and was easy to trim down. Highly recommend using marine adhesive around the edges for a better seal. My biggest complaint is that the board is too thin. At 3/4", the 1" OEM mounting screws that came with my Humminbird transducer would go through the mounting board and into the hull - thus defeating it's purpose. I would've purchased a different mounting board if I'd known, but it's installed now so I'll have to make do. Tracking down some 3/4" screws and hoping they'll keep the transducer fixed to the board.

Does what it is supposed to do. Have two of them on my boat for transducers, etc. Better than other units I have seen ... recommended!

I have a Garmin Transducer and a Sea Ark Welded Aluminum boat. I don't favor putting holes in a metal transom, especially since this is a tunnel hull, and I probably would have to move the transducer to get the "just right" fit. Well, I mounted this mounting board with the two supplied stainless steel screws and some 3M FC 5200 for watertightness. It works GREAT. I did have to move the position of the transducer slightly, and it was almost an afterthought, it was so easy. The one lesson that you need to heed is to be very careful of the length of the self tapping screws you use to mount the Transducer itself. Make sure they DON'T go through the mounting board. There is plenty of gripping power with the thickness of the board itself, so just be aware of that. I test drove my boat, and my new transducer works perfectly, and the mounting is very secure. I would recommend this product to anyone mounting devices on the transom of their boat, no matter what material the transom is made.

I was able to mount the transducer to the boat and only had to drill 2 holes in the boat. I can add another transducer if I want or take this one off without having to plug holes and re-drill.Great value too.

Works like a charm. I like the fact that that it is 3/4 inch thick. Transducer screws do not Pentwater boat transom. Highly recommend this product.

Worked very well. had no problem with the screws that came with it. I predrilled the holes and put a drop of oil on the screws to help them screw into transom. If it felt tight, I worked the screws back and forth till they screwed in with normal resistance. Then cleaned screw hole area and applied marine silicone and installed board. I then made sure board was seated against the transom and applied marine silicone around the board to help support the board and to keep water from getting behind it.

Did the job well. Mounted it to the boats transom and then mounted the transducer to it. Should I need to adjust the transducer, I can easily do it without drilling new holes in the boat.

Just a note, the screws it come with if you decide to use them snap easily if the pilot hole isn't big enough...
