If you get the right one, It's really great!
I ordered two sets of these bulbs. Being the obsessive person I am, I installed the first set in one taillamp to compare to my original incandescents. SO far so good. Bulbs are brighter and a deeper red! Excellent. Good differentiation between the parking and brake brightness. So I go and get the other set and I see something very different. A silver bulb base instead of black. Three TINY LEDs in each side spot and three TINY LEDs in the from spot. The first set I tested has a black base, One LED in each side spot and Two LEDs in the front spot. I thought well I should try them anyway. Not nearly as bright or red. Looked just like my incandescent bulb. Needless to say I'm returning the second and ordering again expecting a black base bulb. Will try to upload pictures.

Decent, but could have been better
I bought a pair of these for my '05 Altima that had a burned out brake light. It's only used for the tail light and brake light, so no extra resistor or anything was needed. All the LEDs are on when just the taillight is on and they simply glow brighter when you apply the brake. They look really nice, though you can't see them one they're installed in my Altima. They are brighter than the factory bulbs, but only by a little bit. I wish they had posted the total lummen output on them. They also did not fit as snugly into the socket like the factory bulbs did. In fact, when I installed them into the taillight housing, they wiggled enough so that the brake light didn't function. I had to bend the wires back a little more to make sure they made good contact. I hope they don't work themselves loose though. Only time will tell. These are also a lot more expensive than some of the other options on Amazon. So for the minimal light gain, loose connection, and high price, I've giving these 3 stars.

Big Difference compared to Stock factory lights.
I used these Red LED's on a 2015 GMC Terrain tail/stop lamps.. I felt the stock original tail lights were too dim. When I first installed them, I got hyper flashing in the turn signal mode. I wanted to replace the flasher, but found there was no flasher on the Terrain/Equinox. These like many of the newer vehicle utilize a BCM (Body Control Module) The BCM is a computer of sorts that operate the turn signals, 4-ways, lighting, warning chimes, etc. Since there is no flasher relay; the only was to eliminate hyper flashing is to wire in two 50 watt, 6 ohm load resistors per tail lamp, I also got these on Amazon. They have all the parts needed for inhalation. These lights are at least 35% brighter than the stock lights. They are also a more vivid red hue. I highly recommend these lights.

Awesome lights!
Yes, these are expensive lights, but they function great and are well worth the price!I have had various LED lights in a few cars over the years and my biggest complaint has always been that the lights are either too dim to be seen during the day, or that there was not enough of a difference between the low brightness (for tail lights/parking lights) and high brightness (brake light/turn signals). These bulbs not only are bright enough to be seen from a distance during the day, just like stock incandescents, but also have a noticeable difference between low and high illumination modes. I have to say that these are, by far, the best LED lights that I have ever tried and will be ordering another set in amber to replace the LED bulbs that I currently have in use for the front parking lights/turn signals.

not bright enough considering the price
I had these (red) in my 2005 dodge ram. I feel they were marginally as bright or brighter than the filament bulbs. But for the price I put my filament bulbs back in. The flasher didn't care for these at all - to the point that instead of a hyperflash they got a strobe flash to about 30 beats a minute and when I hit the brakes the brake lights just stayed on. Not sure if they didn't play well with the system on my truck or what. I expected a hyper-flash but not the odd strobe effect. These have been on par with other LED bulbs I have tried in terms of brightness, light projection etc but not exceptionally different.

Bulbs are very bright, but the depth of the connecter is about an 1/8th of an inch to short had to modify mine with a battery operated band saw to get them to stay in the sockets. Once I did that they stayed in for about one month now. I feel like they are a quality product with possibly a slight design or manufacturing flaw.

Amazon stood behind this one.
Installed on 2012 Jeep Grande Cherokee as daytime running lights after the OEM bulbs were found to melt the sockets. One stopped working after a year. Amazon replaced it for free!Update: 2/22/2017I had another one of these bulbs stop working on the Jeep. Contradictory to what the packaging says, Putco says the warranty is only one year. Amazon still honored the lifetime warranty.

Bright and tight!
Very bright and bulb sits tight in the socket. If you want something brighter than this you will need to get Tritons and spend over $100 on a pair of bulbs.
