Sher is the best!
Always looking for bargain books to help horn players get it right on the gig. Being a bass player leader is sometimes a challenge. Chuck Sher books are always on point and keep the band honest. There is no better resource for the working band than his books. I hope to see the Standards real book transposed also one day.

The Bb book shipped is not current -- about 70 tunes are missing.
The New Real Book is immensely useful. However, what I got was the 1988 edition containing 366 pages of standards. The current edition has 437 pages. Seems like those extra pages are tunes I want to play. Today I was looking for All The Things You Are and Yesterdays. Both are shown in the contents of the latest edition but are not in my book. I'm glad to support the people who wrote the music rather than use pirated PDFs of the original real books. Now I'm doing both.
