Barebones Enamel Bowl Set - Dish Set of 2 Bowls - Enamelware Set for Camping and Everyday Use (Slate Gray)

When my husband suggested enamelware to use in the RV, I thought he was crazy. I wanted durable but I didn’t want ugly. Then I saw these and fell in love! Once they arrived I fell even deeper!The green on this set (we ordered two sets of each plate and two sets of bowls) is soft and beautiful with a nice speckle throughout. The texture is slight, making me think of the texture of a smooth clay pot. And the brassy color of the rims is gorgeous! I don’t have any discoloration in any of my rims. I know because of the metal these are not microwaveable, but I didn’t feel comfortable with the idea of plastic or wheat plates (that can get damaged when microwaving anyways) or breakable plates. So, we figure if we need to microwave food, we will do that on paper plates and then set the paper plates on these plates. With the rim on these, the paper plates should stay fine, and they will give solid support to the paper plates.My sets came in a nice cardboard box. I didn’t have any sticky stuff on mine anywhere, so the manufacturer must have reacted to the reviews of others that complained about that and found a better packaging option.I am extremely happy with these purchases, and I highly recommend them!

The bowls are a nice size, I like the gold trim.

These are gorgeous. Can't wait to use for camping. Amazon had a great price during cyber week. I expect these to last a long time. Lightweight and perfect size.

We are full time RV’ers and these work perfectly for us. They are lightweight and ok to bang around. The only downside is you can’t microwave them.

The design of these bowls is great. Large with a deep rim to keep food from running away. However, the design of the packaging is infuriating. The bowls appear to come simply wrapped in a paper band. Once you start to try and remove it you quickly find it is so much more than just a paper band. They have an extremely sticky plop of glue in the center of the bowl that takes some patience to remove. But the worst part is that around the edges of the bowls on both sides, they have used what appears to be an industrial pieces of double sided tape. After carefully peeling this off on all the bowls, I found that there was a residue left behind that I cannot seem to remove. I have tried, dish soap, dishwasher and rubbing alcohol and cannot get it off no matter how hard I try. It also appears this tape put some unfair wear and tear on the copper finish around the rims.

I was given the matching plates as a birthday present. These have worked awesome in my camper van over thanksgiving

I use the plates and bowl in my overland setup. They resist all the offroad, bump, dirt road and show no signs of scratch or wear. Those are now my go to ware for camping. I definitly recommend.

I love these bowls for car camping. They are the perfect size to prep with, and clean out easily. They bring a nice touch, to a fire cooked meal
