Metra99-9100 Single DIN Installation Kit for 1996-1999 Audi A4/A6/A8

I know others dont like the look of the trim but beings as this seems like its the only decent option and at a fair price, I have no qualms about the finish, Yeah it could be better but I digress.Now the fitment is a pita, It fits well, When you get the trim installed it doesnt always line up right, First install it fit perfect with no gaps or anything but I had to adjust some of the wiring behind the stereo still so took the trim off, After reinstalling the trim it had a noticable gap between the plastic and wood trim, I just decided to say good enough for now and leave it at that.Would I buy again or recommend to a friend? Absolutely, It does its job just fine and doesn't look bad and gets the job done at a fair price.Update after about 6 months, Still works great, I wont change anything about my review but the kits trim does shake loose enough to need to be pushed back in every now and then. Inconvenient but it works fine

This kit fits my 2002 Audi TT, but it is not ideal. I used the piece with the two screw holes. First, the screw heads were too fat to fit in the channels in this kit. I had to get my Dremel and trim down each screw head so it would fit. The kit also doesn't align perfect. From the drivers position, you can't really tell. You can only tell if it get close to it. Unfortunately, this is the best one I could find.

Used it in my TT and it worked great with a little sanding and filling. I also bought the Scosche AU2300B and the American International AUDK610 at the same time to make sure I ended up with the best looking and functioning results. The only trim that worked for me was the Metra kit. Same your time and money and buy this one.

The finish is a generic textured surface which doesn't match my 1999 Audi A4. The edges are rough too which shows when installed.Worse yet is that this doesn't fit well in the factory opening, I had to squeeze it which caused it to have a bow in it. Additionally, the retaining clips are too deep (made for a thicker OEM material)which prevents it from holing tight to the dash opening.I've tried two of these, both were the same and disapointing. I'd say they are better than nothing, but no better than that.I used a different brand "american...something" in my wifes Audi which worked somewhat better. I suggest you look for another brand than this Metra

Not sure what people are talking about. This absolutely works perfect for a 1998 A4. If you have doubt just look at my pictures!

worked fine in for my application, couldn't use the stereo trim piece with this kit but still looks ok

Took some modification but it works.

Worked great in my 2001 Audi TT Roadster!
