It will cool your Allison well.
Installed this cooler on my 2002 chevy Silverado duramax , was a little tricky to install in place of the original cooler. I got it done but needed some 5/8" compression fittings instead 1/2" that were sent . Good news is the cooler works great transmission temperatures went down 20-30 degrees. I am always hauling big loads 10,000 pounds is quite often , overhead campers with trailers, loads of hay etc. Cooler is built well and 15 rows instead of the original 9 . Used a manual switch on fan.

Great cooler but the barbed hose fitting should be avoided
I installed this cooler as part of an auxiliary transmission cooler. It kept my transmission cool going over every pass from western Washington to the center of Yellowstone and back in July along I90. The electric fan switch kicked on when it warmed up and turned off when it cooled down as designed. My only complaint is that they include the hose and barbed fittings. These ended up being a constant source of leaking. I tightened all hose clamps to recommended torque and nearly all of them leaked. Don't bother with the barbed and go directly to AN fittings.

Can't beat this cooling
This cooler should have no problem cooling a trans that does heavy towing. I have had my Cummins loaded with a 12k trailer, and a small tracked skid steer (~8k lbs) and barely hit 180* on a 75-80 degree day. As soon as the temp hit 180, the fan kicked on and took it right back down to 160* no problem. Great investment.

Works Great
Works great for my application. Mounted under bed of my truck and does the job. I dont think the thermostat worked so I just put it on a switch.

Holding up to Cummins!
I've put some miles on in winter driving and it is keeping tranny cool without fan running. Quality looking product.
