For the price, this is a great alternative to the pricey IPR bar pad. I honestly don’t know if the foam density is any different as I’ve never had the opportunity to use the IPR hip thrust pad. The straps are kinda useless and a pain. If they were somehow glued or sewn into the pad, and shorter maybe it would be better but they really aren’t needed as it fits nice and snug on the barbell.

Great barbell cushion
Fits over barbell perfectly fine. There's a notch in it to conform around your neck. Cushion is firm and doesn't collapse on you so you get a nice feel when the weight of the barbell and plates transfers to your shoulders. I used to get bruises doing squats before this. Now, none. It's very comfortable. Price is good. Got it within a week of ordering. I took off the straps because I didn't feel a need for them. The cushion doesn't move once you put the barbell on your shoulders. I recommend this.

Neck pad
Updated: I am changing this rating to 5 as the seller went above and beyond. I requested just a strap to be replaced and they sent me a whole new one! Bravo!The first time I used I thought this is great. squats, glut bridges awesome! And then on the first day of use one of the velcro straps just split at the edge of the velcro. Not very happy with that as now i have to go an fix this or rig it to hold it on the barbell. While it works the quality is questionable
