Received this salt water cell. It showed up very well packaged, and is in fact factory replacement made by Jandy, so its not a chinese knock off. I was very concerned that I would be paying top dollar for fake. There were several different sellers that had good ratings, but I went ahead and selected Amazon actual to order from. Install was easy. Just replace the rubber gasket that is included, place the salt cell in the receiver, and put the large nut on. Hook up the wire leads and you are done. Be sure and keep your old salt cell for its parts. The metal plates can be used when one of the new ones corrode away saving you a few hundred on a new cell. I was able to get six years out of my current cell this way.

Well packaged, any home owner can easily replace this part themselves if they determine its what is needed. I think, as best as I could tell that this is the original equipment not a knock off. I pull our cell out for the winter but after 7-8 years it was time for a new one. Dropped this right in and everything went back to the same old boring great performance we'd had for past several seasons.

The part fit my system perfectly and is performing as expected. This is a replacement for my last cell that seemed to work for about 2 years. Hope to see linger run time.

the plates in my old unit got eaten away ,it would be so much cheaper to fix if these plates were made available to us customers , it should not be necessary to pay $300 for a 20 dollar fix , i hate having to pay for stuff due to poor design ,come on fix this otherwise we will buy sheets of metal and make our own fix for this simple problem

Salt cell came well packaged looked of good quality. Installed turned on pump I could see a white cloudy texture in the water through the plastic dome that told me it was working. chlorine level back to normal in no time at all. Shipping was a little slow a couple of weeks but it came from the US to Canada Amazon notified me shipping was going to be slow, no big deal.

I received the item very quickly, and when I installed it worked fine (error message was gone) - HOWEVER, it now leaks as the old O ring on the unit clearly needs replacing but for some reason this new item DID NOT come with a new oring (even though the provided instructions and other reviews state that it should come with it!?!?) Now I have to track down an oring so that don't keep losing pool water....Updated: 6.3.2020 - Was offered an exchange (no guarantee the new one would come with an oring) or a discount to cover the cost of the Oring - very happy with the response time. Unit IS working and not leaking now that I have replace the Oring

After being told that my salt cell is discontinued by a pool store and that a whole new salt system would cost me $1500 or more I found this salt cell on Amazon. Works great!! No problems at all, is the exact same as my old Zodiac salt cell.
