This book tickled me in the right spots-I felt I got to know DUANE. His views on the important things in life( personal philosophy, sexuality and our fellow citizens ,etc.) were just right for me. The pictorial choices to illustrate these things were great.Reader is a Happy man

I am Duane Michals #1 fan and I love this book . It's a great starter book for DM followers. He's really a force of nature and I love all of his earlier work more, but am happy to see that younger photographers are seeing his genius.

An inspiring book.

This book is of average print and binding quality and has a generous page count. I did not get a sense of who Duane Michals is as a photographer from this book. The images are sparse and somewhat lost between text that is verbose and somewhat self-indulgent. I haven’t explored Duane’s work a great deal and while this volume may work well in the library of a fan, I cannot recommend it as a standalone volume.
