This was a gift for my daughter after we saw the broadway show. It was easy to play and she has enjoyed it.

It good to use for Auditons and for actings

Well produced accompanist sized score of songs and lyrics for stage version . Misses numbrs only in the movie, like "Miss Baltimore Crab" but a great resource e if you're looking for audition material. All show keys far as I can tell.

The item is great, but I paid for overnight delivery and didn't get it until a couple days later. Although I was refunded for the amount I paid for overnight, the problem was I needed it and so I ended up paying to have the music downloaded from musicnotes.com site. Thanks, Karen

What can I say? Hairspray is the best!

My daughter is taking voice lessons and needed to get ready for an audition for this show and the book is helping her do that.

I bought this book for my daughter after she unwillingly returned her borrowed copy to the library. If you love the music of "Hairspray", you won't regret adding this to your collection of piano music.

Even when I first saw the show when I was 13, I knew the music was infectious and hard to not bop my head to. THank goodness my mom got this for me; now I can warm up for a concert on all the songs I know and love... to annoy my sister with. lol

As a Broadway P/V selections book, one would do well to be sceptical as to the quality of the arrangements.In this particular case, there are very few cuts made from the film, but I cannot vouch for the authenticity of the score to the stage musical.The chords are not the best notation I've seen, but are neither too complex nor too simple.The lyrics agree almost entirely with the movie, but, again, I do not know how true they are to the musical.

Brought for my daughter who is having singing lesson and wanted to learn songs from Hairspray
