I particularly like the way that it revises language covered in Book 1. The exercises are varied and imaginative. Essential grammar is covered in the lessons and there is a comprehensive reference section at the back of the book. New vocabulary is presented at a more accelerated rate than in book 1 and students are expected to use a dictionary. This book provides a good grounding for serious learners who want to progress beyond beginners level.

Fantastic condition and speedy discovery and an immensely useful book for anyone learning French, the CDs are great to have in the car to help with a more immersive learning experience.

I've not started book 2 yet so I am basing my score weighted on Book 1, which is very good.

Needed for my French course. Easy to follow and good to get a head start before my course restarts in the Autumn

A very useful and practical book with CDs that helps improve your French in daily context.

The book is great but I paid the full price for the audio /cds. They don’t send out CDs anymore but direct you to an online audio file, which is fine except that some of the audio clips don’t download, they’re sort of empty. I emailed the company a few times about the problem and they kept emailing me back saying the issue was corrected but it wasn’t. Had I known the audio files weren’t all available, I would’ve paid half and just bought the book.
