Great for Newborns - Almost Too Much Stimulation!
My little guy is 4 weeks old and this is almost too stimulating! Each day as his sight gets better he is enamored with this mobile, and gets so into looking at and trying to hit everything he gets overwhelmed and yells at the lamb. :) The pig is low and easy pickins. I have to take this away after about 10 mins., but that tells me this mobile really does the job -- it has the colors and contrast for newborns to encourage sight/structure differentiation and hand-eye coordination. Like I said, it almost works too good as I am writing this review as I sit up here late night with a fussy baby overstimulated by this crazy mobile!

Cute and attention getting : )
Very cute and attention getting. It has little bells in it so when it is touched, you hear a little tinkling sound. Easy to clamp the mobile onto things. You place the clamps on the side of the crib (or wherever, I've even put it on the rocker chair) and then turn the red knob above them and it locks it into place. It (the dangling toys) is very low though so where the bar is you are clamping this onto is about how close it will be to the baby's face.I think the big kids like it better than the baby does right now : )Easy to use and take anywhere : )

Excellent, inexpensive and multi use
This is a great, inexpensive and captivating mobile. My 3 month old loves to stare at and talk to it. If you are looking for something small and portable with no need for batteries this is a great option. It is high contrast with pleasant soft bell sounds when you move it.it does not move on its own nor does it wind up. You must touch it and move it to make the sounds. My daughter will grab it and move it to hear the sounds. You can attach to crib or packnpay. The arm of the mobile has a sturdy rubber grip and the actual mobile detaches from the arm so you can hang it some where else (car seat). You can also attach other toys to the arm ( toys with the velcro straps for hanging). This makes the product very useful and for the price...you really cant beat it.

Well, partly its my mistake. should have noticed that the arm is not long enough, so the mobile stays to the corner of the cradle instead of coming to the center. had to do some modification to get it to the center, so baby does not have to always look on the side.but the reason, i reduced the rating is because, most of the time, all the hangings get struck to each other. There is one hanging that has 4 to 5 spikes in it and when others come in contact, they are struck to it. thus they dont produce proper sound as expected as they are all stuck. we have to keep removing them apart.

For the price, it's a good mobile. The animals are made of felt so you definitely don't want your baby to be able to grab and pull them. I hung mine at the end of my baby's bassinet so she could kick it. She loves the rattling sounds it makes! The reason I didn't give it five stars is because the vise doesn't grip hard enough to make the mobile stay upright, so it falls over all the time.

Baby really enjoys this mobile.
Baby really enjoys this, even at nearly 5 months now. Clamp works very well. She pulls on this constantly and neither the velcro nor the clamp has broken free. My only complaint is that the arm is a bit on the short side for our purposes, and as a result the mobile is right in her face. This was more of a problem when she was smaller than it is now.

My two month old is mesmerized by this thing. We've used it on the pack-n-play, his car seat, bouncy seat and the activity gym he lays under on the floor. It's nice that the cloth part of the mobile connects to the plastic arm with a velco loop, so you can put it around anything- you don't have to use the plastic arm. I didn't realize it wasn't silent, but it turns out it makes a pleasant tinkling sound I'm ok with. Kind of like a windchime. Obviously, if you put it out of reach that's not an issue- my little guy likes to bat at it, though!

Arm is way too short
I bought this because it was highly recommended by a group of moms. I wish I would have thought about the logistics of this mobile. The arm is just too short to be useful. I'm still using the bassinet level of my pack n play and the arm puts it right on her face. It's the same with the glider. I tried attaching it to the cat seat like the picture on the box and the toy is long enough to touch the back of the car seat without her in it. I ended up hanging it from the mobile attachment for the pack n play, but even then, one of the strings is apt am inch away from her face. I never would have bought this if o had thought about it. She doesn't even really care about it that much.
