Beware of buying these in “used, like new” condition
These Spicers are excellent, IF you buy them brand new. They were easy to install and fit great on my 1999 GMC Yukon. However, BEWARE; I did happen to buy one Used (“Used, Mint Condition”), since they ran out of new ones and I needed one more. Even though listed as “like new and mint condition”, it was in unusable shape. 3 of the 4 black bearing cap seal rings arrived broken. I Returned it immediately and bought brand new from a different vendor. Looks like a previous buyer didn’t know what they doing, compressed the caps too much during install and cracked the seals. Cracked bearing cap seals are due to installation error, not Spicer’s fault. Amazon needs to more thoroughly inspect their returns for damage and should not try to re-sell damaged goods under the guise of “like new”.

A better joint for U.
Heavy duty and well made. I expect never to change these again.

Good product, good price.
Replaced the factory Ujoints on my '09 Subaru Forester. Need to clean the burrs/ machined stakes to remove the old ones. Slightly difficult to install due to the small size, but not the vendor's fault. Factory ones lasted 215k, but had tight spots in them.

Works great for 2006 2500 HD 4X4 LBZ
Perfect u-joint for the 4 wheel drive front drive shaft. Just make sure to put the clips in as they go on the inside unlike your rear drive shaft that go on the outside.

Simply the best! Don't add more grease or you will be sorry...
Great Spicer quality, strength and installation perfection! Instructions say don't add more grease and YOU SHOULD BELIEVE THEM. Don't be a grease liberal mechanic monkey and be tempted to shove in a bit more of your fancy Mobil synthetic grease while you have the caps off. For whatever reason, I happen to know the consequences which are that the seals will blow off and ruin everything and require you to speedily order an entire replacement unit.

TERRIBLE design on bearing seal cup
For a premium product, the design is TERRIBLE! The "plastic" bearing cup seal is completely inadequate for the application. 1 U joint was received with the cup already broken and the machine shop installing the U joints broke 2 on installation. I would NOT buy these units again and would recommend potential buyers look elsewhere. The GM U joints lasted 17 years (173K miles) and were w superior design. I will be returning the defective units. I recommend finding a product which has a more durable needle bearing seal (the machine shop said there are metal ones out there).

Installed on a 2000 Chevy S10 ZR2 pickup
My original spicer factory U-joints lasted 273,300 miles and 22 years. The one at the transmission was still good and only one bearing at the axle was bad. I replaced both for mileage. This truck has been through some extreme use and off road. So with this background, I had to get the same U-joints back in. These are non-greasable inner snap ring u-joints that I installed on my 2000 Chevy S10 ZR2 extended cab pick up with a 1 piece aluminum driveshaft. They are also American made. I hope to get 300,000 miles out of them too. As a pro auto/truck tech, I only use sealed non-greaseable Spicer U-joints and you should too. Don’t get aftermarket dime store junk with grease zerks that will break in 10,000 miles.

Save those old "C" clips
Save your old "C" clips.. The new ones I got with u Joints were too thick.. Causing way too much preload. Parts shops Didn't understand what I was talking about doing my research. I ordered. The correct. "C" clips FROM Dana in Tennessee. The part was like about 5 bucks. Shipping charges. Twenty.. A week to get the parts in,.. and 160 miles of driving (40 miles away) .. I wasted. A day. Driving., a week of my life, 25 dollars in shipping charges .. Just trying to give you the heads up

Cup size for mine are 1.8 and width 4.2
There’s nothing wrong with the product it just fit my truck which is an 08 Sierra2500 HD something is wrong with the filter cause these absolutely are to small

Too small for Chevy 2500
Nothing wrong with the ujoint it seems to be heavy duty but this is just a warning to anyone else looking at putting it on a 2006 Silverado 2500HD. It says the product will fit the truck but it is actually way too small.
