Cuisinart Touch to Toast Leverless toaster, 4-Slice, Brushed Stainless Steel

Bought this to replace a 70 year old Sunbeam T20 that had started getting a bit cranky -- the automatic start when you drop a piece of bread in the slot wouldn't always work and the wife was getting frustrated. I wanted to buy another "leverless" toaster like the T20, and the Cuisinart seemed to be about the only option, plus it had good reviews. We're please with it -- not expecting it to last 70 years, but hopefully more than 7 or 8 which would be much longer than the average ones we had bought prior to finding the T20 in an antique store some 30 years ago. We like the wide slots for bagels and homemade bread. Toasting is very consistent slice to slice -- you just need to experiment a time or two to get the setting you like depending on different breads.We've used many toasters over the years, and none of them ever toasted both sides exactly the same. The T20 for example had different style heating elements on the sides, so I was happy to see that the elements in the Cuisinart looked identical, and I was expecting equal "brownness" on both sides. Not the case -- one side is always a bit browner than the other for some reason. The clean out trays are convenient, but they don't collect all the crumbs that have fallen down -- even after turning it upside down and gently shaking it (per instructions), you can't get all the crumbs out. No different than any other toaster we've owned, but it just seems something could be done to improve cleaning, so I only gave that 3 stars. We're please though with the purchase -- looks nice on the counter, has nice functionality with the various options, and performs as well if not better than other's we've owned.

I have owned this product for 3 years now; no issues. You will have to clean the bottom trays from time to time.

I gave this toaster 5 stars, because simply put its a toaster and it does what its supposed to do every time with out fail. I was looking for a nice stainless steel toaster with a modern look to go with the rest of the stainless steel small appliances in my kitchen and this one fit the bill perfectly. Admittedly I was a bit skeptical about buying it because it was motorized and to me that is just one more thing that could go wrong with it, but I have been using it for a little while now and I am pleasantly surprised. The motor works just fine with no problems. It toasts my bread and bagels to my liking, and it looks fantastic in my kitchen. I mean what more can I ask for in a toaster.Some people say it toasts the bread unevenly. To those people I say to stop taking toast so seriously. That is ridiculous, unless the bread is completely toasted in one spot and soft in another then you should have nothing to gripe about. Just because every single millimeter of the bread is not evenly golden brown. Its a toaster people. It toasts. For anyone looking to purchase this. Pay no attention to those reviews saying its a bad toaster because it doesn't toast bread evenly. Those type of people are just not happy with anything, because they always expect more from a product than what they should. Buy the toaster, because it looks good, works good, and toasts bread like it is supposed to.

I have had this toaster since 2015. It finally bit the dust today and I’m on the hunt for one just like it. It has been the most dependable toaster I have ever owned!

My last two toasters -- a Cuisinart and a KitchenAid -- both got tossed after a the lever stopped staying down. I took the Cuisinart apart and found a broken plastic part that I could not fix, so I didn't even bother trying to fix the KitchenAid. When I saw this toaster had no levers, I figured what the heck. It probably has even more moving parts, but I;m taking a chance on it. So far so good.I won't go into details about even toasting. It toasts just fine. It looks good. It toasts a little faster than my previous toasters, I think. The 1-7 settings are fine, Bottom line: I would recommend this toaster even though it's a little pricey. If you like the look and want something different, get it. It does the job.Now, that I've recommended it, I want to mention a couple of things I think are important to know before you buy it.First, if you like your English muffins toasted brown, the highest setting (7) doesn't do that. It just barely toasts an English muffin. Very little or no browning -- ever. I thought I'd end up toasting them a little more every time I had them and thought that would be a real pain. Instead I just got used to eating them "slightly" toasted. They're hot, but still soft inside. I don't miss the crunch you get when you really brown them. But if you like yours hard and crunchy, get a different toaster. It toasts bread just fine.I've had toasters that, when turned up all the way, would blacken bread or toast an English muffin into a crispy, crunchy, nearly blackened disk. I guess there's no point in toasting anything that much. However, be advised that at the highest setting this toaster will not come close to doing that.Second, the toaster beeps twice when the toasting is completed. It's not that loud or that annoying to me, but it's loud enough to hear throughout the house. Like a microwave beep. If that kind of thing bothers you, get a different toaster. There's no way to disable it.

el paquete llego en tiempo y excelentes condiciones. tiene 7 niveles de tostado, y una función especial para solo tostar solo un lado del pan. no usa resorte para bajar o subir el pan, es motorizado. no es barato pero lo considero una excelente compra. estoy muy satisfecho con el y a mi familia le encanta

This looks awesome on my counter, my only complaint would be that it doesn’t always toast long enough, I just have to put them down a second time if I want darker toast . It really it’s a beautiful toaster though, not sorry I ordered it.
