Good second stick
After you're ready to graduate from the $50 sticks (many of which are still quite good) this is a good next step. I like the solid action of this cue. The default tip is quite good as well. I got the 21 oz version and it's perfect for me. Things I like: The glossy handle sticks to my skin a little so I get good contact with a very light grip The shaft is already sanded smooth so it slides in my fingers without needing powder or gloves Included tip is great Things I don't like: The mahogany finish is almost black even in normal pool room lighting. I have to take it out in direct sunlight to see any color at all and even then it's very dark The balance point is a little further back than I'd like.

Great beginner stick
Great quality stick. Really surprised by the tip. Shoots straight. Looks good. Has a great feel in your hand: smooth shaft. Great stick for the money.

Great starter stick.
This was an upgrade to a $50 beginner stick, and the difference is amazing. The $50 stick was a great upgrade from the bar cues, but this Valhalla stick blows that away. I'd say it's great for beginners starting to learn or people trying to improve their skills. It's well-weighted and balanced. It's made of wood which is much better than the cheap graphite sticks. The stick feels amazing and you can immediately recognize the quality as soon as you put it together. It's very attractive and gets compliments every time. If you're somebody who plays regularly and have been considering getting a "good stick", I'd say this is the best one based on quality and price. You could find a cheap graphite one for $30-$60, but if you want to really make a difference in your game and hone your skill, this is definitely worth the purchase.

not a bad cue,
good cue for amateur players. it's smooth and straight. the taper could be better. I got the 13, wanted a 11.5 or 12 though. the finish is not super smooth but it's very good. it's worth the money.

Great price, great purchase!!
Excellent cue, I've owned the high end cues and this has the feel of one. Very balanced and comfortable to use. Highly recommend

Seems like a huge improvement !!
I'm at such a cross with this, this was my second attempt at buying one of these sticks I brought the Valhalla 200 and there was a scratch on the finish. Bought this as a replacement and I don't like the color it's a bit deeper of a red than I expected. I expected more of like a cherry red through blood Red to an almost burgundy red type pattern like the image it's much darker. Having said that I've never shot so well with a cue where I didn't have to change the tip. Literally one a 9-ball tournament with it on its first attempt no tip shaping, just chalk (taom) and original stickers attached, I'm an apa 4 I beat a 5, two 6's and a 7. I was eight for eight on my Banks 2 for 4 my kicks and only lost 1 game. Got my APA league Tuesday but usually tend to shoot a bit better with a newer stick but that was very impressive I might be stuck with this red stick lol Add: I could not get past the color I really like brighter colors and this one is very dark. I'm hooked on Viking sticks because of this but I will be getting one of their other colors. I did wish however you can choose on the specific sticks no rap as a lot of their more expensive sticks automatically come with a wrap even on their original website.

Import cue?? Still good.
A replacement for my original. Was not aware these were apparently being made overseas now but the quality of manufacture still very good. A slight difference in the grain - maybe not Maple from the Americas? Otherwise quite happy.

Perfect size, weight, and materials
Perfect. My father loves it. He finally added me to his inheritance because of this pool cue.

Very good quality pool cue
I'd bought a second hand pool table recently and it came with some very tired pool cues. After hacking around with them for a few days it became obvious they needed replacing. I did a bit of research for 'best bang for buck' pool cues and this came up as a strong recommendation. It was a little more than I wanted to pay, but the quality of this cue means I do think it represents value for money. There's not a hint of an edge on the joins and the finish is fabulous. I would strongly recommend this cue

good practice cue for beginners
I just started and don't have much experience. Classic wood. Looks good. Plays well. Straight. Make sure store it at house (without huge temperature or humidity spikes). Buy a cue case, thread protectors and tip protector. Don't leave it in trunk of your car if it too cold or too hot outside.
