P2-S USB Handwheel MPG CNC Controller for Mach3, Mach4, LinuxCNC,UCCNC

I had to flash it before I could use it. It was shipped configured for Mach3. But after that it worked great with UCCNC. Its so much easier to dial in my machine. The main knob has a nice click/detent on each incremental movement. Actually every input device on this thing feels good. The push switch, small knobs, and main knob all have a heavy detents. The device overall feels good in hand since it has some weight to it. Its not like those flimsy tv remote like MPGs. I did have to read the manual to figure out what all the icons are, they are not super intuitive. I really liking have the ability to bump up the feeds/go to zero/zero all/start/stop cycle when I'm not in front of my laptop and i'm walking around the machine to see how its doing.It is pricey, but I guess this is a niche product with decent build quality. Other than price, I have no complaints.

I had to download the plugin from VistaCNC and now its just working thru the manual to understand all the featuers.

This is a great low cost addition to any CNC system especially for setup. Works flawlessly with Mach3 and saves a lot of time positioning and setting zero as well as simple straight line facing.

Great product. Does everything advertised to do. Great response to questions.

I used this with Mach4 with no problem 5 stars. I changed over to UCCNC. The hardwareneeds to be flashed for UCCNC. The USB is not recognised by the flash upgrade program.You have to rotate the knob between two clicks and hold it when you plug in the USB.Then the upgrade software recognises the USB and you can load the HEX file.
