10Gbe - works fine
Update:In all fairness to CableMatters, the problem experienced in the original post turned out to coinciedentally be an issue in both devices on each end of the connection. On the switch side, the SPF+ ports were malfunctioning due to something in the switch device requiring a hardware reset. This switch-side condition was not immediately obvious, but became so after the original post was written. Once the switch was reset, the client side link came on.So in the end...all good with the cables. CableMatters will continue to be my go-to for wiring needs.Original Post:I will start with saying CableMatters is usually my go-to for cabling. I am having a bit of a problem with this one though - specifically, on a 10Gbe link. I have a 15ft Cat6a cable working fine between the device and the 10Gbe switch. When I swap the 6a cable out for this 3 ft Cat6 cable, I get no link. That includes rebooting both the device and the switch. I have 10Gbe RJ45 at the device side, and 10Gbe SFP+ transceiver at the switch. Again, with the Cat6a cable I have no problems. Swap just the cable for this Cat6 and I get no link.Next, I try the cable at a1 Gbe link facilitating a Unifi Access Point - which also carries PoE for the AP. I swap the cable from the patch panel to the switch. Everything works on the AP connection without issue. This seems to suggest the cable is has an issue pulling 10Gbe as advertised. I do not *think* I did anything wrong in my testing. I would love to hear from CableMatters on this as I really do not want to coil up a 15 foot Cat6a cable for the connection needed - an 18 in connection inside the rack.

Not good "For working out"
Tried "jump roping" with these Cat 6 RJ45 cables and since I can't jump rope these are not good, at least for me, in "For working out" which was one of the Amazon "Features". Gave that category 1 Star. Which is fair. Oh wait, maybe they are referring to streaming a "Jane Fonda Workout Video" which would still garner 1 Star since I don't like Jane Fonda and assume the feeling is mutual if she knew me - which she doesn't.

Great cables, fair price
Nice to be able to get different colors for visual coding. Quality cables at a good price.

Perfect Solution
These little gems are perfect for unsnarling a spaghetti factory of wires and cables under the desk, or anywhere longer Ethernet cables are just messy or need to be twist-tied. Short connections directly to the switch from Ethernet peripherals is the way to go. Well built and hardy, they scratched my itch to clean up my desktop environment.

Patch Cables that work
I like using Cable Matters and C2G cables because they have a great reputation for simply working. I use multiple variations of these cables for panel patching at client offices/locations.

Well made cat a cables.
Items as described. Purchased these cables to tidy up my ethernet connections through an additional ethernet connector. After connecting everything up it was obviously running to its maximum bandwidth with a noticeable increase. They are well made and compliment my wifi and ethernet set up. Price wise I think they are good value for the money.

Great cable and size to reduce clutter
All my network gear is close together on my desk, so having long ethernet cables really adds to the clutter on my desk. Since I have multiple devices that need to be connected, I needed several short ethernet cables. 5-pack was my answer.Since I have been using these cables I have had no issues. I get the full 1 Gbps speed through the cables (I used iperf3 to test the speed between devices). There haven't been any issues with the build quality - they have maintained their connection in the devices, and the cables haven't split or shown signs of wear and tear.If I add more devices in the future, I will continue to use the shorter ethernet cables to keep my cables under control, and buying 5 at one time saves both time and money - less ordering.
