In addition to being sturdy and function, Ethernet cables should be just the right length. Not so short that they barely reach between your two connections and not so long as to create excess cable in the way. These are the perfect cables for distances between 4-6 feet. For some reason, 6-foot cables that I have used in the past are never quite long enough, awkwardly just barely stretching across the connections. I am very pleased with these cables and the reasonable price.

Good length, worked for my cam setup. kinda expensive for patch cables. Much cheaper to make it yourself.

I'm upgrading my network to Cat 6 to support 1Gbps ethernet with the ability to add 10 Gbps in the future. I am also color coding the cables so I can tell one run from another. Before they were a rats nest of all blue cables with different ratings. These cables are quick to procure and seem to be of high quality. I can report that I have seen 850 Mbps speed in actual use which is pretty good.
