For raising the height of your sprinkler, this device is perfect. Nice, even spray which is easily adjustable. It does, however, leak quite a bit no matter how tightly I twist the collar. Still, the water trickles straight down the tube and for the most part is not a problem. It may also be difficult to get into the ground...the spikes are weak plastic and will bend if the ground is hard. I have a lot of mulch/bark and I was able to insert it with no problem and it has remained in place.

I wanted to use this in the middle of my yard. After setting up, it leaked at the adjustment joints. I triple checked the seals and made sure to tighten it down, but it just kept leaking.

I've read all the reviews. Assembled in the house and loosely hand tighten. The legs are plastic as described in the other reviews, was very mindful. Once turned on the water 💧 it was spraying out of every assembly connection, than I remembered that I left everything loose. Once I hand tighten everything up, no more leaks!This is not made from heavy duty plastic. But the range is laughable, I got to figure how to adjust the arch, and measure how much is being put out, underneath the that steady stream arch.

While this sprinkler produces a gentle spray and is adjustable for distance and area covered in a partial circle, it leaks at its height adjustment joints even with our low water pressure. Gently tightening the adjuster nuts with pliers helps some.It comes unassembled and there are no instructions for assembly although this is petty straightforward. More importantly, there are no diagrams or instructions for adjusting the spray area. I got it to spray more or less where I wanted it to, but a couple of simple diagrams would have made the process much less time consuming. The distance the water is sprayed is also adjustable using a small plastic diffuser, but once again a simple diagram would have been helpful.The three stakes that anchor the sprinkler in the ground are plastic, so if the ground is dry it would be advisable to make holes for the stakes with a small trowel.It works but it's difficult for me to recommend.

Really easy to hook up and adjust height and spray. The stakes install and hold well.-

The idea of this sprinkler is a good however the function is somewhat poor. The sprinkler head works perfectly however the extendable pipe leaks a bit and is not strong enough if you have good water pressure. If you have low water pressure this might work out okay, but at my house it falls over, the pipe flexes way to much and it leaks. Just needs to be a bit sturdier.

Absolutely the easiest install on to standard female hose end. Needed to clear ground cover ferns to water the lawn. It went together quick, and the adjustable will allow for any additional ground cover growth. However, I substituted an Orbit #58565 sprinkler head as it has a 5 gear operation with optional coverage patterns. I find these to be the most effective, adjustable heads that last a very long time. It fit into same insert as the head furnished with extender. The head furnished with this extender works fine, but in my case, I required more distance coverage. Will see in months to come how adjustable it stays, and if good long term quality. I'm actually ordering another one. You could do this with PVC and some adapters; but this was so quick and most important easily ADJUSTABLE for future use if warranted. PVC would require redo to adjust height when needed again. So, if you need ADJUSTABLE height- this is lookin good.

Melnor has a certified 'Handle with Care' product with this 65064-AMZ Hideaway Sprinkler part.Where the sprinkler head (which was not included in the original shipment) attaches/threads into the stand, it breaks off if it tips over. Good for ten minutes, then the head cracked off. Unrepairable.Chances of this tipping or getting pulled over is very likely. The sprinkler head is a very delicate, light weight device. Take care with its use. I can see where just the sprinkler top is unavailable to order. No wonder.Not one of Melnors hardier products. and I own several. Nice idea, but easily broken.Use with caution.

Bought 2 units and had minor leaks. Was able to fix and worked for a month without any problems. Then leaked again. Now… pipe split and am about to throw it away.Save your money. Find something else if you want long lasting.
