Great fun to study magnetism if you also buy some iron filings. I've used these bars in a science class and my students think these are just the greatest! Sprinkle iron filings over the top of them and a fascinating pattern appears illustrating magnetic fields. I recommend wrapping the bars in Scotch tape first so they are protected from breaking.
