This is a solid product
This kickstand fit our Trek Verve 2 bikes perfectly. We chose the regular duty stands with 18mm bolts. This is a quality stand and works well. If you’ve never had a stand fitted to your bike, keep in mind that the threaded holes in the frame may have a significant amount of paint in them. There’s no chance you’ll be able to thread the screws in by hand. This may lead to thinking that the screws are an incorrect size. I was overly cautious so I removed a screw elsewhere on the bike that was the same size and checked. Using an allen wrench I was able to eventually clean the paint out using tiny steps back and forth, going a little deeper each time.

Great kickstand but not for a 20” bike unless modified
Great kickstand for the price. Easy to install and seems like it will last a long time. I got this for my daughter’s 20” bike as a test to see if it would work and it does but it’s not ideal. It’s just a tad too long for a 20” bike. When I have the kickstand out the bike is almost completely vertical with no lean. This is on flat ground. It would be pretty easy to tip over if the kiddo doesn’t stand it on even ground.I’ll probably keep it on and see how it lasts but if you’re looking for a 20” bike kickstand, this one won’t work.*update: I ended up cutting off about an inch and a half of the metal stand and used a hackzall to cut some slots for the mechanism to hook too. It now leans enough to be stable when stored and my daughter can even sit on it and balance without it tipping over. I really only wanted this to store in our garage so she wasn’t leaning it all over stuff, so I’m not worried about how much weight it can hold. That said, I don’t see it breaking anytime soon since I can sit on it as an adult and it doesnt seem weakened.First photo is before, second is after cut and the rest are to show where I cut and how much.

BV kickstand for Careful Parking
BV Kickstand - I Have a 2021 Trek Verve 1 and it doesn’t appear to have enough room by the bottom bracket to mount a stand so second best for stability is a rear mount stand. I’ve been riding bikes for 67 years and yes just threw them on the ground a few times but that was in a day with one gear and thy were built like a tank.Back to this BV. Light weight aluminum with a double keyed adjustment. The Trek Verve’s are all about 14” from the axle to the ground and that gets to be a long kickstand throw to keep the bike stable. I have the adjustment on the very last notch @ 12” to the hinge and 15” overall. That notch means that the screw for the dbl. key way isn’t hitting a notch. The end that hits the turf is just plastic so structural strength might be compromised a bit. I drilled and tapped the very end of aluminum insert to make a more positive stop. Oh the mounting holes were a little tight for the extra chain guide holes on the bike but still doable with care.Bottom Line: I believe this BV stand will be adequate for our trail rides.

Fits like a glove
Trek store is selling these for about $30 or more plus shipping, but i took a well calculated risk in buying these and save a little money. I had a little doubt that the screws would not fit the holes on the bike frame, but they did. Perfectly! It took less than five minutes to install. I am very satisfied. Not to mention, the kickstand is very well made, and I could not be happier. My trek is an Extra-Large Trek Marlin 5. By the way, the stand looks great,
