Great for oldtimers as well as newbies
Beautifully and poetically written. As a long time solo hedgewitch I find that she articulates very well things I have been aware of my entire life. I am reading this with a group. She had divided the chapters into short topics to be read from new moon to new moon and has exercises at the end of each chapter. I am not bothering with the exercises, though they are good for someone new to the path. The book is a joy to read.

I love this book
I love this book. Perfect for the solitary practitioner. She is not only a great writer but she is extremely knowledgeable in this field. There were many things in the book I plan to implement in my life. I will continue to look for this author in the future.

A great starting point when you are ready
At the advice of my first pagan teacher, I purchased this book in 2014. I read the first two chapters without bothering to read the other suggested books or complete the assigned exercises. I was not ready and dismissed the book as not really speaking to me.A year later, I picked the book up again. And this time I did as instructed. The transformation that has occurred in my life since 2 new moons ago is hard for me to fathom. Granted, I have unknowingly been a witch my entire life (and likely past lives too) I can't being to express my love and gratitude to the Goddess and God for touching my life. This book and a ready heart will do the trick.Thank you Marian Green for making this book available.

For solitaries!!!
I really loved this book, not so much as an instructional book, but more like getting to "talk" to another solitary. There were places in this book where I was literally nodding my head and thinking "yes, exactly " and that can be really nice , especially when you don't have a lot of support as far as working your Craft. I enjoy being a Solitary, it fits my nature, but it is always nice just to know that there _are _ others out there!

Amazing
A new favorite book and a fast shipment as well, so I could start in on it. Really speaks to me, and probably will for a lot of people. The people who look for something like this are already on the path to read this type of info and really learn from it. Great book, fast shipment.

This book is one of the best I have read
This book is one of the best I have read. In a clear and concise style Marian Green presents a number of practical ways that meaningful rituals can be created from a basic no-nonsense style. Green does not promise miracles and makes the point that magic and connection with non-ordinary entities only comes with hard work and preparation, and these include taking a more nature-focused and allowing the mind to escape from the clock driven driven aspects of modern life. From where I live it is very difficult to find others to embark upon magical workings, instead it is essential that one is prepared to work alone towards greater connection with spirit entities. Green's book helps the reader to stop and contemplate the world around them, and to seek methods that can actually help increase one's own way to cope with the stresses of consumer society life. This well written book is in a prominent place in my collection and one which I refer to again and again. An excellent read and knowledgeably written.

When writers act like a schoolmaster
Well... I opened the book and was astonished. This book speaks. Really. I saw the sentences, the textes coming out of the book.. talking. It was like magic. So far, so good. The book is very informative, well written and there is nothing wrong to say about it (for this it deserves really 5 stars), but just one thing: I don't like when writers, or fellow pagans, act if like paganism or magic were reserved for only few initiates. She talks down, from time to time, to the readers, as if only she knew what magic is about. It sounds arrogant. I can't say if this was her purpose, but I can say, I didn't like it. The path of Druidry, or even the path of paganism, should not a path of deprivation, where struggles and hard times have to be mastered. If I would have be a martyr, I would have lived as a Christian. Life is challenging, whatever religion or spiritual path you choose. This book gave me the feeling of being wrong by thinking, that life is something you can form yourself. This is quite unfortunate for the great value of the things she writes in her book.
