Q: What type of material is this pillowcase made of? I would like to iron out wrinkles or creases that develop in shipping.

I checked my pillow to see if there was a tag stating the material but I couldn't find one. With that said, it feels like a thick canvas material (cotton). I think you could iron the wrinkles out. To be safe, place a piece of cloth between the pillow case and the iron.

I didn't realize that the pillow was not included and I just happened to have a travel size pillow on hand. I used that and it fit perfectly.
