Prepara Herb Savor Pod

The reviews on this are so true. Great idea, but such a pain to pop the clear lid off from the side, even once I figured it out. I keep waiting for it to break in my hands because it does take some pressure to pop off the lid - but it feels fragile and likely to break with too much pressure. I would consider buying one of the new designs that seem sturdier and open from the top (not the side).

I bought this as a gift for my mother. She likes it but says it is hard to open. When she unwrapped it I remember having to help her figure out how to open it. It took me a minute. If you have arthritis you won't be able to pry this open!

Despite reading the reviews of others on how hard this was to open, I was confident I knew the secret so would be fine. Not so. No matter what I did, couldn't pop off the clear plastic lid. Instructions showed the bottom part screwing off, didn't. Husband couldn't even do it and he opens everything for me. He finally got it open, only held about half of the aspargus which is what I wanted it for so tossed it in the garbage and then bought one from Progresso that we both can open. Note to self, pay MORE attention to what people are saying.

The Prepara Herb Savor Pod is advertised holding asparagus. That was why I purchased it, thinking it would be good for keeping asparagus fresh. In reality the pod will hold very few spears and they would need to be quite thin and short. The ad is misleading. I'll keep it for storing herbs, but asparagus is out of the question.

I bought one of these about 4 or 5 months ago - and I LOVE it! I have kept a combination of Rosemary, Thyme and parsley. They have all kept fresh for more than 4 WEEKS! No brown spots, no rotten leaves - just perfect.I Highly recommend this product - no problems with leaks or the plug not holding.

A little expensive for what it does. It tends to leak if tipped. But it does what I needed it to do!

I threw this away after about a week of ownership. Couldn't get the clear plastic cover on and off without spilling water all over, and half the time, I couldn't get it off at all. It only works for long stemmed herbs, and all need to be about the same height.

I've had trouble storing fresh basil because I learned a long time ago not to put it in the fridge. My cat is attracted to anything in the plant family (with disasterous results). This keeps my basil fresh and the cat ignores it!

Ich war schon seit längerem auf der Suche nach einer stilvollen und brauchbaren Aufbewahrung für frische Minze. Für gewöhnlich reicht schon eine Plastiktüte aus, um die frische Minze frisch zu halten. Ich wollte aber ein Behältnis haben, was die Kräuter auch davor schützt Gefrierbrand zu kriegen. Was ich auch charmant fand war, dass dieser Behälter auch für Spargel genutzt werden kann. Die Lieferung erfolgte über Partyschreck24. Die Lieferung dauerte zwar etwas länger, dies wird aber im Angebot vom Anbieter angegeben. Die Ware war sicher und gut verpackt und kann auch an Packstationen geliefert und nachverfolgt werden.Das Material des Behälters ist aus weißem Plastik, stabil und robust und leicht zu reinigen. Die "Plastikscheibe" ist ebenfalls stabil und sitzt sauber und bündig und fest auf dem Behälter. Das Abnehmen ist etwas schwieriger am Anfang. Mit der Zeit hat man aber den Dreh raus. :) Ich habe aktuell nun seit zwei Wochen frische Minze im Behälter. Die Minze ist bis heute frisch und hat auch nicht Ihren wohlriechenden Geruch verloren. Ich habe sogar das Gefühl, dass die Blätter noch weiter gewachsen und noch "knackiger" als beim Kauf selber sind. Der Behälter passt wunderbar in jedes handelsübliche Seitenfach eines Kühlschrankes. Der Stopfen kann leicht zum Auffüllen des Wassers als Bodensatz abgenommen werden. Die Reinigung ist einfach und problemlos.Ich bin sehr zufrieden hiermit. Von mir gibt es eine klare Kaufempfehlung. Ich hoffe die Rezension hat bei der Suche geholfen. Über eine Rückmeldung, sei es positiv oder auch nicht, würde ich mich freuen.

So many times have I bought herbs intending to use them within a couple of days and by the time I want to use them I find out they have wilted away. This pod does what it promises: you stick your herbs in them with the stalks down, you add some tap water and put the pod in the fridge. This will keep them fresh for at least 2 weeks, especially if you remember to refresh the water after about 7 days. The pods aren't exactly cheap, but buying herbs and throwing them out isn't cheap either ;)

Great item and use it to keep my asparagus for a few days longer than it would normally last. Nice quality (plastic, so don't expect anything amazing) but it should last a long time without any problems and perform as it should.

Have had my pods for a while now and they work just as advertised, I used to have to throw away loads of fresh herbs but not anymore - worth every penny. An additional bonus is that they look great in the fridge.

Ich habe es bisher einmal genutzt und seitdem nicht mehr. Das Wasser sollte ab und zu komplett gewechselt werden sonst fängt es an zu stinken, was aber kompliziert ist, da alles rausgeholt werden muss. Dazu finde ich es recht klein. Reicht nur für ein paar wenige Zweige.
