Cousin DIY Jewelry Basics Class in A Box Kit, Bright Glass

I've wanted to try jewelry making but didn't want to spend a lot of money and then figure out that I didn't *really* want to make jewelry. This kit is perfect! There's a good range in bead sizes which makes for a nice variation in the jewelry but still goes well together. The colors are very pretty - not too muted, not overly bold. The book is pretty basic. It shows the layout of each piece and then you reference the back for how to finish the closures for them. Once I saw the pictures, it was easy to figure out but I tend to be creative and am able to 'just wing it' when needed. If you're looking for a very detailed explanation, this isn't it. Even still, for the price, it's a great way to start. I was able to do 2 pairs of earrings, 2 bracelets and 1 necklace in just a few hours (with kids distracting me!) and I'm very pleased with how they turned out. Bottom line: if you're a beginner and you're looking for a way to 'test the waters', this is a great way to do it. If you need a very detailed instruction guide, this probably isn't going to do it for you.

My first time making jewelry and I was throughly Impressed with this kit. I found the instructions to be very easy and straightforward. I definitely had to look at a YouTube video to figure out how to make a hoop on the eyepin but I am a complete beginner. Once you have that very basic and fundamental skill down, you can make all sorts of jewelry. I am so impressed at the quality of beads and finishing included. The final pieces are beautiful, professional and can definitely be given as gifts. I immediately went and purchased more cousin jewelry kits!

This was a fun kit. I enjoyed the designs. I was worried that there wouldn't be enough seed beads to complete the projects, but there were more than enough. I will wear these necklaces, and the bracelets. The earrings maybe, not. Trust the instructions! I will be buying again. I loathe designing projects, but I enjoy beading. The price was right. Very pleased. One drawback, the box was crushed, but the products were fine, so, who cares!

I was interested in jewelry making but had no idea how and where to begin. I saw the Kit in Amazon and decided to give it a try. Thought it would give me a fairly good idea whether I would like to pursue my new hobby or not without spending much. The beads were pretty, bright and some extras were also given which is good for beginners like us. All my beads were drilled, the 3 in 1 tool was good. It's nice that you can make ear rings, bracelet and necklace. Made one set and it came out beautiful. So why 4 star ?? The instruction was not good. You have to search YouTube for tutorial. My pin heads were bent and they just gave 2 pairs. For a beginner an extra pair is always nice since I spoiled my first pair of pin head while trying. The bracelet was stretched. Wish they had given one stretched and one wired, it would have been good for me to learn. No jump rings were given. And the beads were not labeled with the measurements i.e. what mm are they. I have no idea whether I want to order 4mm or 6mm beads for my next project. Overall it's a good kit to buy if you want to start and learn jewelry making. BTW: I did not know so thought I would share with others that 3 in 1 tool means it has cutter, crimper and nose plier

I decided to try a new hobby, making my own jewelry! This kit was awesome, I did have to youtube to figure out the looping (I am very visual), but other than that, I was able to do the knot and follow the rest of the directions very easily. The tool that it came with worked great. I followed the design directions for the first necklace/bracelet/earing set, but decided to make my own design for the second set and it came out wonderful... And I still have extra beads and supplies left over. Very happy with my first jewelry making experience, and it looks beautiful!

I was looking for something simple and fun to help me learn some of the basic techniques of jewelry making, and this kit was perfect. The beads are very pretty and plentiful. After completing the projects, I will have enough beads left over to make another set of earrings or a bracelet. The directions are minimal, but they were still helpful enough to teach me a few of the techniques and terminology. The kit makes very pretty, coordinating pieces in blues and greens. The beads aren't glass though. The title of the item says "bright glass" but be aware that these are plastic and metal beads

the package appeared to have been opened and then put back in a loose non factory bag and the box had a lot of wear maybe from a lot of transit time- like a return.it was sold to me as new however.it didnt appear to be missing anything and was a gift.she liked it.quality of the contents seemed o.k. for the price.

I got this for my collage age daughter as a Christmas present, because she wanted to try her hand at jewelry making. I don't know anything about it, so shopping for this was a true challenge. Jewelry Basics truly took the guess work out of it for me! It seemed to have everything she needed to explore the new world of jewelry making. She oooed and aaahed over how pretty the beads were, and I have to agree, they were very pretty and didn't look cheap at all. I purchased a separate tool kit for her as well, and I'm glad I did, because there were quite a few thing the tool kit had that this started kit doesn't have...hence the term "starter kit". It's a great starter kit, but if you want to delve deeper, you will have to buy a separate tool kit.

i love this kit ! easy to do , beautiful pearl , good quality and the box contains everything you need to make jewelry. i recommend it to a beginer or an expert!

It was a great intro to jewelry making just wish the bead pad was bigger and less flimsy. my beads went everywhere a few times. But was still fun.

This was a great set! It had very easy to follow instructions and the necklaces, bracelets and earrings are very pretty! My eight year old daughter very much enjoyed it!

Easy to follow and all the things needed to make the sets were included.
