Indipensable for data migration
Compact M.2 (SATA only) adapter works great for data migration and use of M.2 SATA drives in 2.5" or even 3.5" applications.The board itself is narrower than the 2.5" drive form factor, so alternative mounting may be needed. I would use foam tape.

Suitable for multiple PC needs.
Needed it for my 2280 M.2 drive, and this worked perfectly to allow me to connect it to my PC quickly and easily. Perfect for upgrading my internal tablet SSD and works great with other converters such as SATA to USB.I also did a read/write performance test to make sure that it worked properly. Great addition to my geek bag.

These are great for testing out M.2 drives on machines that don't have M.2 capabilities, or you have an extra M.2 laying around that you'd like to use on one of them--assuming of course that the M.2 drive you are using is SATA and not PCIe NVMe. It gets the job done and the price isn't terrible at all.

Have an MSI laptop with an M. 2 2280 ...
Have an MSI laptop with an M.2 2280 drive. Laptop dies, so got this to get the data off.Nope. Would not see the drive on multiple machines I tried. Returning it. Will just wait for my laptop to get repaired and returned.
