My cat had surgery and when I took him home they said there will be a bit of blood and drainage. This saved the liner that came with my carrier. I could not clean this liner for a few hours and worried the blood had set. I just used plain soap and cold water and every stain came out. It looks like new again. They give you two liners so it is easy to replace one with the other while cleaning the first or if the cat pees.
