Wonderful hefty collection on many many hymns I never knew existed. Very meaningful and inspiring. Great for devotional times.The only negative is that there isn't music written with the lyrics so you can sing or play the song from the book. You have to sing the words to tunes you already know and that fit the words.

A treasure of a book. You simply won't get a better book of devout and beautiful Christian poetry. Extremely detailed and comprehensive including Scriptural cross references, footnotes, tune index, Scripture index and appendices galore. Very useful for prayer.

Great book resource! Purchased two books so far. The price is fair and the quality is accurate to the description.
