They keep both sides of my shower liner in place.
I place two on both sides of my shower wall. It's easy to slip the shower liner into the holder hooks so that no water escapes and drips on the floor when I turn the shower on. Make sure to test the placement of the hooks on the shower walls first for best results.

Hard to get curtain in.
Hardly any space to slide curtain in and unless your curtain is as thin as very stiff paper I wouldn't bother. I guess if you are using them for the side of the shower you don't use and the curtain is going to remain permanently in, once you manage to get the curtain in they would work. I wanted them for the side I get in and out of.

As expected
Could just be my shower material but it just wouldn’t stay adhered to the wall it continued to fall off every other few days would be ok if you bought a better adhesive and it’s oddly hard to get the curtain into the clip in the first place

Mediocre
One of the three are still in place on my bathroom wall. Followed all instructions, closest one to the curtain rod is still in place. I wish they would’ve lasted longer. 2 didn’t seem like enough so I added the third, guess it didn’t matter much in the end.

Great for one time use
I bought to use in the shower to prevent water damage. It worldly perfectly for that! However it a one time use! Can’t use with another curtain! It’s kind of stuck. But still works for the purpose

Yes! Floor is dry, finally!
I was desperate to stop leaks causing trouble for a downstairs neighbor. I had no idea how water was getting out of the tub and never noticed puddles, but I think it was my 7-year-old sometimes leaving the curtain open and water dripping into a corner. I bought two packs of these (they come 2 clips to a pack), and am using 3 clips total to secure the curtain to the wall on the side nearest the shower head. I will save the 4th clip as a spare, and have no plans to secure the end of the tub farthest from the shower head (this is the side we need open to enter/exit the tub.) The first clip is about an inch from the top of the tub, the second is about 4 inches from the top of the tub, and the third is halfway between the second clip and the shower rod. I initially used just two clips, as suggested in the directions, but I decided to add the 3rd and lowest clip when I wasn't satisfied with how the shower curtain hung with just 2 clips. It's been a week, and a little square of toilet paper I placed outside of the tub has remained dry after each shower! I am very pleased with this product.Notes: A few other things I did as I installed to maximize impact: 1. Moved the shower rod about an inch closer to the shower head. I had it slightly to the outside of the tub so the shower could feel wider, but I sacrifice width for less chance of water escaping. 2. I paired a cloth, exterior curtain with my regular shower curtain. The cloth curtain stays hanging to the outside of the tub, and the regular curtain stays inside the tub at all times. 3. I use an Ace splash guard with built-in clips that hold the exterior/cloth shower curtain in place.

buy double sided tape with this purchase
Does the job. Holds the shower curtain pretty well. However, the double sided tape on it is not very good and the piece fell of the wall after about 2 weeks. I added another layer of double sided tape and reattached to the wall and it hasn't peeled off ever since. Overall its good for its purpose, but make sure you have access to extra tape because you will need it.

Clip nodules
The clips have little internal nodules to hold the curtain. These mean that the clips need careful handling to avoid tearing the curtain.
