Received in the nick of time
The battery on my bike light went bad and I didn’t want to have to buy a new light. This arrived just in time for my next ride!

It lasts and lasts
I purchased this because I wanted a battery that lasted more than 1.5 hours on high, I have the 2000lumen light. With this battery I've never had it run down even after a few 2 - 3 hours. Great for fat biking in the dark winter nights.

If you have a powerful Light & Motion light, you need this battery
To keep prices down, Light & Motion seems to be selling their 3 cell battery with most of the new packages. The problem with the 3 cell battery is that it simply will not power a high-lumen light such as the Light & Motion Seca 1700 Race Light for a very long time. This 6 cell battery, on the other hand, is up to the job of powering the 1400 or the 1700 for a reasonable amount of time.

Why don't these last longer?
This is the fifth one of these I have bought. Of course, it works out of the box - they all do. But the cells inside these things are ... not very reliable. With six cheap cells, it's not long before one cell fails and the rest are stuck trying to overcome it, which they cannot do for long. The last one I owned - the one that died in the middle of a ride - was purchased about 1.5 years ago. That means it got about 30 cycles, none more than two hours long, and mostly of mid power, while driving a 2500 lumen light. That's not a lot of cycles. That's not a lot of quality.But I am invested in the light system, which means like a fool I keep spending good money after bad, hoping to get a battery pack that lasts hundreds of cycles, like my 10-year-old NightRider has.

Battery Awesomeness!
Awesomeness! I haven't even had to re-charge this battery since the initial charge since my light goes so long on a charge. I have a light and motion light from 2008 or so and this battery is compatible with my old light and charger.

It works
A comprehensive review can't be done with a battery until you can determine the life of it. So far, the battery performance is satisfactory. I would have given it 5 stars if it had a battery charge indicator. The extra tech would allow it to be up there with the best.

Great replacement battery
First 3 cell battery died after almost two years of use. The six cell battery was purchased as it has a longer run time. My light is working again!
