I live in an arid area where it is regularly in the 90s F four months of the year. When I got a new car in 2011 first thing I did was buy a steering wheel cover to avoid getting burned in the summer. That cover basically fell apart over time; a friend who drove my car noticed how much it slipped while making turns. I was compensating for this while driving but realized it could be dangerous. This was enough to send me looking for this replacement.Good features: it does NOT slip in your hands as you are making turns. It was not too difficult for me to get it onto my actual wheel, and I don’t have terrific hand strength. It comes folded into a half circle and taped, and it sprang back to a full circle easily. As for dealing with extreme temps, it’s now the last week of July. When I get to my car after work it’s probably 125 degrees in the car. But this cover has two different textures to hold onto, one of them more like flannel or memory foam — I can easily start driving right away despite the heat bcs the steering wheel cover is protecting my hands. The other texture is like leather so it would be good for driving with gloves or without in winter, with no slippage. This cover makes it seem almost like I have a new car, the change is so dramatic. Great investment for both comfort and safety.

I don't think a refund is possible with this company, it doesn't look like Amazon deals with them anymore. Anyway, this thing was a nightmare to install. I've never had anything be this stubborn to install and I've done leather upholstery replacement in vehicles before. So, was it a nice comfortable product, you bet. Love this thing. I travel a lot and a steering wheel cover makes it a lot easier on my hands after 2-3 hours. This thing started falling apart in one area, a seam came loose at the bottom and that was the end of it. After getting tired of trying to fix it myself (since the company wasn't associated with Amazon at that time) I finally took it off and after taking a close look at it, it may as well have been sold as "disposable" after a month. It was junk. I'm getting so tired of spending good money on things these days and 99% of it all is junk.

Update: it definitely protects against the heat, so happy I bought it even though it is bulky for my small handsI bought this because my steering wheel gets so hot you cannot touch it. I installed it , it was a bit of a struggle , but it’s not a tight fit, & it’s bulky. Today will be the first day out in the sun . I’ll update later. Hope it works!

WHen you install this, put the whole cover past the steering wheel first and work your way towards you. Much easier to put on. Once you get it to just a small portion needs to get over the wheel, use a big flat end screwdriver to help you.

I really like this steering wheel cover! It is very comfortable, a great value and not that difficult to install. I really needed a new steering wheel cover to install on my new 2004 honda accord and I was a little hesitant to buy this steering wheel cover because from the reviews that I read, it seemed very difficult to install but after some trial and error, I finally got it on after 10 minutes of trying and it fits perfectly.

It made the steering wheel a little bigger. Will take some time to get used to.

I bought this to cover my black leather steering wheel that is painfully hot in the summer. It was easy to install. Looks good and comfortable. A few weeks in I noticed that the cloth was coming undone at the seams. I need to replace it before it tears completely away from the faux leather section. Hopefully it will last until the fall.

Fits my 2013 Kia Soul perfect. Takes some muscles to get on but worth it... Looks and feels great.
