We've been using this pitcher for 4 years. When we first purchased, we were hearing the benefits of alkaline based water and weren't sure how much we'd use the pitcher. We had water pitchers in the past, but never used them because the taste/benefits weren't enough to having to constantly refill a pitcher. Quickly, we recognized the taste difference. For me, I can't drink tap water anymore. If I'm out somewhere, the taste profile of regular tap water is too drastic. My preference is always to have a water bottle filled with water from this pitcher. Of course, I tested the water with PH drops and this thing works incredibly, providing very high concentration of alkaline levels. The only thing that is a requirement is that making sure the water level in the pitcher is always in contact with the filter. If it falls below, you lose the alkaline benefits. 3 Years later, this pitcher continues to be THE primary source of water for our home, including our pets. We never drink straight out of the tap and we couldn't speak more highly about it. Build quality is great, the pitcher is as good as it was day 1 and has survived a couple of drops, full with water, over the years. The filter timer lasted about 2 years, but that was easy enough to replicate with calendar reminders on our phones. If you're interested in jumping in to the Alkaline water market, this is a great first step. This company makes a ton of other products, but we've always just kept the pitcher around. Don't hesitate, this is worth the money ten times over!

Like the size & price. The filter has a small gap in the attachment so you have to push it down really hard to seal it but as I observe how it filters, I see little trickle of water on the side which i don’t think is properly filtered. Also the way the inlet for the unfiltered water is quite stiff so you may have to push it in to fill the reservoir. Water seems to be a bit better tasting than my regular tap water so we’ll see how it lasts.

The water taste amazing the only thing that would make this product better if they could make one out of complete copper or create copper inserts for the filter to switch out, so it doesn’t hold the water too long, and if they could make the picture glass to eliminate the micro plastics that would be perfect

I just got this thing a week ago so I don't know about longevity. I've owned at least 7 different water pitchers and this one definitely makes the best tasting water...plus it supposedly also makes the water alkaline. I haven't tested the ph yet, but it sure does taste like store bought alkaline water...I just hope the filters last as long as they say they do. I once had a pitcher that made water taste almost as good as this one, but the filters were very expensive and only lasted around 3 weeks and then the water would suddenly taste horrible...I'm just hoping that doesn't happen with this one. So far, I love this thing and the great tasting water it makes. My one little complaint would that the filter was a little difficult to get to seal; the first time I put it in, I noticed the water was leaking down the side and took a little effort to get in there tight enough to seal.

The counter, counts down days from 70 days regardless if you actually used, filtered a whole pitcher. Im not a fan of this

The lid has a water intake area which opens when water from the faucet streams down on it. This causes the flap in the lid, which operates on a spring, to eventually allow a gap that does not shut tightly. As a result, if you prefer to keep your water on the countertop for room temperature, tiny insects can make their way in! And, that is exactly what happened! Eeww! Recommend that if you use the fill area on the lid, that you let the water stream in very very slowly to put the least possible pressure on the filling area. Otherwise, you can remove the whole lid every time you fill the pitcher. Before the tiny ant made its way into my water, I enjoyed the taste of the filtered water. I stopped using this pitcher for obvious sanitation reasons. I just started using the same company's filters which are compatible with a Brita pitcher--in a Brita pitcher!
