No caustic smell, but still works to defoul your pew pew babies
Pros: + Minimal smell + Spray bottle helps application + Works well in cleaning Cons: - May take several applications TL;DR: If you want low smell pew pew cleaner that worksโthis stuff is 100% for you. No surprise that this stuff works wellโI purchased off of several review sites' positive ratings. True to its marketing, this stuff has very little smell and still works well to defoul your pew pew. The instructions to "soak" it (leaving it on for a few mins before scrubbing) works well on the really dirty parts. I recently serviced a pew pew that hadn't been cleaned in over a decade and this stuff was able to remove the caked on junk from the barrel and other internal parts with only a couple of applications! It also doesn't hurt that the price per oz is very reasonable as well. Be warned that this is ONLY cleaner, not a CLP, so you'll need to lubricate after using this stuff.

Amazing
I had been using Hoppeโs 9 like everyone else for a long time. I was running low and decided to try something new. This stuff has zero scent, melts grease and oil, makes everything easy to spray down and wipe. It has made my regular cleaning much more simple. I have not noticed any wear or damage to plastic of metal parts on the exterior. I do still like #9 for soaking and scrubbing heavy carbon deposits (itโs thicker and will keep a patch wet). This stuff doesnโt leave a greasy residue, so it makes me feel like it cleans super well. Easy to spray down brushes to clean your bore. I literally just spray it everywhere inside and outside with zero issues.

Great for getting off the surface crud, will continue to purchase
I have been using this for years. I use this and Ezox. Everyone has their own method and i'm sure for everyone who tells me this is an awesome idea there will be someone to comment that I'm a horrible human being. I'm the person that cleans regardless of 300 rounds or 2 rounds that day. I shoot mostly the cheapest range ammo I can find, so there is no lack of build up. I'm also not someone who wants to spend hours being precise where the cleaning solvents land. I use this on plastic, metal, blue finish, polished fished, ceracoat, and it has gotten on the wood plenty of times. NO ISSUES over the last several years. I run a brush once to loosen up the heavy stuff, then spray down everything, and let it sit for a while. Then a few more passes with brush, run a wipe or 2, quick spray off w/the air compressor, the Ezoxx everything down. The big pros are that this is fairly inexpensive so liberal use is no problem. There is virtually no odor so fine to use in a small room. My barrels and internals are free of build up and knock on wood, the accuracy from these barrels is still far more accurate then I can be. If you like this, great you should be happy. If you have a better method, that is probably great as well.

Cleans Well and Doesn't Smell
Short version is that as a cleaner, this product works. I've been switching back and forth between this product and CLP, which is an all in one cleaner and lubricator. I don't let my guns get overly dirty between cleaning, so I don't know how well either CLP or M-Pro7 work if you have some serious build up to remove, but I'll go 2-3 range trips in between cleaning and they both seem to work well and fairly equivalently as far as cleaning goes - I'm not finding additional buildup being removed with either product (i.e.they both do what they claim). Why I like this product is that 1) It's supposed to be non-toxic and 2) It doesn't smell up my house. Even CLP, which isn't even one of the really bad smelling gun cleaners, definitely was releasing something into the air to the point where I would feel a bit lightheaded if I was using it indoors. Now I've moved to exclusively outdoors for cleaning, but even then, I like that I'm not exposing myself or my family to a crazy amount of toxic chemicals and smells. M-Pro7, per the manufacturer website information, and in my experience, does not harm polymer and should be safe to use. One downside to using the M-Pro7 products vs. the CLP is that instead of using one product with CLP (even though I'd have to wipe clean and reapply as a lubricant), it feels like more of a process to clean and lubricate separately - but not by much. Not enough that I'd deduct a star from the cleaning product. As a side note - I've read that the LPX lubricant by M-Pro7 is not non-toxic (as I believe their gun oil was in the past) - so something to keep in mind.

Didn't like at first; then I learned you don't let it soak like with traditional solvents.
2nd update 6/12/2020: I find myself upgrading my rating again because I was using it wrong. All the solvents I've used previously work best if you wet the parts you're going to clean and then let them sit for a few minutes for the solvent/cleaner to dissolve the residue you're trying to get rid of. I saw a web post where someone was complaining about this product for the same reasons I did originally, and another poster pointed out you don't let M-Pro soak. You spray it and start cleaning immediately. I tried it, and it works much better that way. I still don't think it works quite as well as other, traditional solvents, but if your firearm's not completely filthy, I think this is a good alternative, especially given the lack of odor. (Then again, I'll try it some more and may decide it does work as well as other solvents.) Raising to 4 stars. Update 3/26/2018: Over the winter, I used this cleaner a few times when it was too cold to comfortably clean weapons in an unheated garage. I still don't feel it cleans as well as other solvents, and I still don't like the sticky residue it leaves on unwiped surfaces, but I will give it props for the lack of smell. I was able to clean weapons in the house without strong odors. (Having said that, I won't clean the same weapon with this more than twice without a stronger/better solvent in between.) Raising to 3 stars. Original review 7/23/2017: I've used Hoppe's #9 since I was a kid. Seems like every couple of years, there's a new miracle cleaner I try, but I always go back to #9. I tried it on a semi-auto rifle and a pistol and wasn't impressed, except for the lack of strong smell. I sprayed the inside of the receiver, waited a few minutes then began wiping. Repeated. I had to finish with #9 to get the crud the M-Pro didn't dissolve. Also, if you don't wipe any overspray, it's slightly sticky if you let it dry. Reviews here and elsewhere state the M-Pro 7 won't dissolve lead and copper very well by itself, so you have to buy the other M-Pro products to clean the bore? I can't comment on that as I used #9 and a boresnake to clean the bores. In summary, I could see the utility of this product if you have to avoid the smell of typical solvents; however, the higher price, lower effectiveness, and need to use additional products on the bore negate the benefits in my opinion. Your results may be different. I really wish I'd saved my $17.

Very low-odor would be undetectable to nearly everyone.
This stuff is great and most importantly, it's very low-odor! I have the nose of a bionic sommelier and I really don't smell an odor. Hoppe's on the other hand is quite strong. So is Clenzoil. I used to use Clenzoil to clean my guns, but the smell is strong and would emanate from the gun, through the safe or enclosure, and into the room. Way too smelly! It's nice to have a super low-odor solution. The question is....what's in it? Hopefully it's not just water! Also, is this safe to use on the exterior of a gun? Hopefully so!

Worked better for me than "nitro" cleaner/solvent.
I was a little hesitant about buying some new cleaner. I read their info on their site and, of course, it sounds like the greatest stuff ever. When I happened to find it at Wal-Mart, right there, I decided to try it. I'm impressed. I cleaned a couple of firearms, first with my old "nitro" solvent and then with this stuff. I'm not religious about cleaning my guns so there was certainly an opportunity to see if one cleaner was better than the other. Yeah, it made a difference. The one that stood out the most was my Colt Gov't model which hadn't been cleaned in years (not shot a lot either, but still, it was *dirty* in the barrel). I ran the brass brush through it several times with the nitro cleaner and inspected the barrel. Okay, nothing spectacular, it was better but still dirty. Then I used the same brush with this M-Pro 7 cleaner. Wow! The junk just kept coming out of the barrel. I had to clean off the brush and keep going, it got so much buildup out of the barrel. That was consistent with my other guns I cleaned, but the Colt was the filthiest and this stuff worked very well, Well enough that I got on here and bought more. This stuff doesn't reek like the nitro cleaner. I'm happy with it and feel confident recommending it. It's definitely worth giving a try.

How M-Pro 7 Can Make Your Gun Cleaning Routine Quick, Enjoyable & Precise...
Not that this stuff needs another 5 star review but it certainly deserves it. This cleaner is truly outstanding. I use it as the first step in cleaning all of my semi-auto handguns (spray everything down with M-Pro 7, then agitate with standard nylon brushes , and wipe down with microfiber towel, then use a nylon bore brush , and follow up with bore swabs until clean). It does an incredible job both inside the bore and everywhere else. Works equally well on steel and polymer frames. It has virtually no odor and does not leave any oil or residue behind which allows me to get my firearms spotlessly clean and then apply lubrication only where it needs to be. I like to follow up with a quick swab of Breakfree CLP down the bore and small drops of Lucas extreme duty gun oil via a needle applicator at the friction points. This product is what allows my entire cleaning routine to be quick, painless, and enjoyable. Highly recommended.
