Kidde detectors are the best.
Kidde is the best all around. This model is small and very easy to install. I keep this in my bedroom closet, since I have two 120v camping batteries on charge there, and do not want to chance po-4 lithium problems

Small but effective.
Small but effective. It appears to be very well-made. Easy to install. Last one lasted 10 years - which is the life expectency of these devices. So no complaints here.

Good Quality
Of the three different smoke detectors I put up in the same year this brand lasted the longest. When replacements were needed. I decided to go with this brand again. Easy to setup and also to replace battery. It’s smaller than my others though

Bang for the buck.
Happy to have them and ESPECIALLY not to hear from them, just that piece of mind having a dependable product.

2 out of 3 defective, unacceptable!!
Wish I could give zero stars. Bought 3 of these things, installed at the same time. One had low battery after a week, another had low battery a week after that! Fine, maybe the batteries they came with sucked, whatever. Replaced the batteries, of course, with the CORRECT BATTERIES (triple checked manufacturer specifications) and the first one had low battery the very same day! So frustrating! The second one started alarming for fire without reason, tried to clean it in case dust or cobweb, no luck, it goes off a few minutes after resetting fully and replacing batteries. The batteries still read full, so it is the detectors that are malfunctioning. Weird thing is, the third smoke detector is going strong 6 months with the same batteries that came in the box, but 2 out of 3 detectors being obviously defective is NOT OKAY!
