Best price & best quality, (lesson learned)
I have an Epson Stylus R1900 Photo Printer, (13 x 19), and though I've had it for 5 years, I take very good care of it, always keep it covered, and only use it for my photo and art work. I have another Epson, XP-800, which I use for all other office printing work. Of course, the XP-500 is used much more often but whenever I'm about to print a high resolution image on expensive, high quality canvas, Fine Art Rag, (Hahnemuhle, Moab, etc.), it's the R1900 hands down. That's why I felt stupid doing something recently that definitely taught me a lesson! I don't spend a lot on the R1900 ink over a single year but when I need it, it'll cost roughly $13.00 per cartridge. The ink is a high quality Epson Ultra-Chrome HG2 formulated and tested to resist fading for 99+ years, (conditions apply). But I had a moment of weakness recently and purchased a full set of prefilled, refillable, Non-OEM, ink cartridges for half the cost of one full set of Epson OEM UK HG2. I didn't need to use this new ink for several weeks after having received it. Finally, the first cartridge in the R1900 that needed to be replaced since I had ordered the Non-OEM ink was the “Photo Black” used for printing on Glossy, Semi-Gloss, & Luster papers. That’s when I realized that I had made a terrible mistake. The pictures being printed were all 5 x 7 snapshots taken by one of the subject’s relatives. They asked me to fix/resurrect them and print 2 of each. The problem was that EVERY photo that had deep, jet black in the image were coming out ‘flat’ or as if they were printed on matte paper! Not the entire picture, just where there was black… “Photo Black”, (specifically used only for Glossy mediums). The Gloss optimizer is applied to each photo but did nothing for that area of the pictures where the black was prevalent. The problem became even more evident when I went and tested this on 13 x 19 glossy papers and got exactly the same results. This was a problem and showed like a sore thumb on each image because that flat matte look was always surrounded by the remaining glossy coated colors. Ok, so the Non-OEM ink is not mixing with the Epson Ultra Chrome. I tried using the Non-OEM Gloss Optimizer and that didn’t help anything.I can only guess that these Non-Oem inks are of such a different chemical makeup, that they won’t mix with the Epson UK HG2. However, even then there’s something about this that didn’t make sense. I’m guessing that the manufacturer of the Non-OEM version either, deliberately or accidentally, used the same “Matte Black” chemical makeup made for the Matte black ink, to replace their Photo Black ink version as well.I can’t name the manufacturer of this ink because I don’t have enough information to back this occurrence up, but I will say that I suspect they used the same Black ink for both of the Epson Black’s because they thought it would work and cut corners to save expenses. That’s just my guess and nothing more. As for me, I went back to the much more expensive, far higher quality, Epson Original inks. Now I need to remove that Non Oem cartridge and draw out any excess from that injector. Then run a few head cleanings, (using up the expensive ink. God, I hate that), and hopefully I’ll get my glossy blacks back on track.Lesson learned, stick with the originals when you’re dealing with important image based printing. I do use a non-oem for my other Epson XP-800 office printer and that works well enough for that kind of work, but not for high-res images and art.

EXPIRED CARTRIDGES PASSED OFF AS NEW. BUYER BEWARE!!!
While these are unopened REAL Epson R1900 print cartridges, the ones I received today were manufactured in 2009 (the date is embedded in the Epson Authentication chip built into the cartridge). They were removed from the original boxes so that customers wouldn't know they were way past their USE BY date (see review photos posted by others for an example). The second issue I have is that the Gloss Optimizer is sold new in packs of 4, yet I received only 2 GO cartridges. I've had my R1900 for many years, and have used expired ink cartridges without issues. Granted, those cartridges were not purchased already expired like these ones. Note: Factoring in shipping costs, $12 per cartridge is not much of a discount for ink that is 14 years old, when the MSRP on brand new ink from Epson is only $13.99.

Amazon can supply you with this ink!
Not much to say about printer ink other than it is necessary. Epson could not supply me with this ink but Amazon came through for me! So i am back in business again. Thanks for the help Amazon.

These cannot be from Epson...."Not Recognized"
Received ink bundle order to find that they were not in the original box packaging. I tried to go back to see where in the description it listed that these cartridges would be broken down from original packaging as I surely would not have purchased them knowing that. It says it's sold by Epson but clearly Epson would not remove items from the boxes to save on shipping. The package also says InkSafari.com on it. So I honestly do not know where these are coming from but it does not appear to be Epson. I probably would not have cared if the inks worked, but unfortunately for me like other reviews I see now, they did not. Of the five cartridges I needed to replace that were out, only three worked. The other two kept reading "not recognized". I've never see that when I've purchased these inks from more reputable places like B&H. They were always in their boxes and they all worked reliably well. I'm sending these all back. Even if the three that did appear to work, I'm not confident that they would work for long. Maybe these were refilled but clearly this is all false advertising here. Do not purchase these items from here. Go to B&H or MicroCenter.

Ink Waste
My Epson 1900 printer broke and had the Epson XP-420 stored for two years. It wouldn't work until I put ink in it then when I did the black got plugged up and I had to recharge and it used over half of the ink in all colors. It's more the printers fault instead of the Ink. Ink worked like it should.

Not a Complete Set of Cartridges
I wasn't careful enough this time. This description is misleading. I purchased this set of cartridges for a friend's R1900 printer so she could print out some images I needed which are too large for my 8 1/2 x 11 printer. Based on the description including the word "complete" I believed we would have everything we needed. But there is one cartridge missing from this set. The missing cartridge is the "gloss optimizer" cartridge. Perhaps the gloss optimizer is not considered "ink" and that's why the seller calls this a "complete set." But be advised that if you buy this set YOU WILL NOT HAVE ALL THE CARTRIDGES YOU NEED. Note: There is nothing wrong with the cartridges I did receive. They are OEM and, after buying the gloss optimizer separately, they work perfectly. That's why I gave it three stars.

Epson COMPLETE Ink Cartridge Set
True .. The ink cartridges are genuine Epson Hi-Definition cartridges for the R1900 thus the four stars. However, the product description is, in my opinion, is a bit misleading. An Epson complete set of ink cartridges 'should' be just that ... COMPLETE. The Gloss Optimizer was not included in the set which in reality does not make for a complete set. Silly me for not being more careful. Still .. I would expect a seller of this caliber to be more specific in their advertising.
