## Overview

The TERRO Pantry Moth Trap is a non-toxic, ready-to-use solution designed to attract and trap four common pantry moth species using pheromone lures. Its child-safe folded design and compact size make it ideal for kitchens and pantries, providing early detection and ongoing protection against infestations.

## Description

The TERRO Pantry Moth Trap is a must have for control and protection from pantry moths. This simple-to-use trap is non-toxic and sits neatly on pantry shelves to provide long-lasting protection. These traps attract and kill grain moths, flour moths, meal moths, and seed moths. Pheromones are used to lure moths to the sticky trap, where they get stuck and die. Each TERRO Pantry Moth Trap package includes two glue traps and two individually wrapped pheromone lures. Use one lure for each trap. Apply the lure by gently pressing it into the center of the trap. Place the trap in areas where moths are observed to be swarming. These traps should be used both during and prior to an infestation to monitor potential moth problems early on.

Review: Presently surprised - Update: So I originally placed the traps in my garage on a table, and another on my sons dresser. After a few days of those yielded no results, I gave up on moths and I placed one trap on the ground for crickets. I placed the trap on the outside of our garage door on the ground at dusk, and this morning, out of curiosity, checked it and it had caught a few dozen small moths and a dozen or so baby crickets! Although the trap was outside, I like to think it will help keep their numbers down to prevent them from coming in my home. I'm baffled why putting the trap on the ground was more effective than a table top, as I assumed they would be flying and smell the hormones in the trap and go to it... bugs are an enigma. I will note the moths in the trap were smaller than the ones I have caught in my house. I'm not a bug expert so I do not know if they were different species or just at a younger stage in life. I do know the large moths have been in our pantry, bedrooms, and love our garage. Original This year our home was oddly infested with moths. I was hopeful to have traps so that I didnt have to spend time trying to catch the obnoxious buggers. The eavning the product arrived, I placed the traps in my sons room, next to where I clearly saw 2 moths on his wall and left them there overnight. Not a single moth. I ended up having to chase and catch the two in his room. The other trap I put in our garage, as litterally every time I would open our door, at least one moth would fly in. It's been a few days and not a single moth has been trapped. My traps are still bare. Now, I understand each bug is different and attracted to different things, but when I opened the lure, there was no smell to it like oher terro traps I have used. I'm guessing the lure was dried out? Im still going to use the traps, but relocate them the floor to try and catch crickets instead. Wished these would have worked, I REALLY hate moths. Terro is a great brand, but this particular item was a dud. Maybe I will try again and have better luck next time.
Review: An Actual Tuurd Would Attract More Moths Than The Zero This Brand Does. - I really hat to give a bad review but people must be warned when something doe snot work at all and this brand is just that. I've used these through the years as they are the only thing that works on kitchen moths when you forget about that old box of cereal in the back of the pantry and you end up with moths. Usually once you open the little package of hormones they come flying from across the room immediately. My local store was out so I ordered these on desertcart. I would call this product s#!t but an actual steaming hot turd would attract more moths than the zero moths this brand attracted... in three days! Zero. They accidentally put in a third package of attractant and I added this as well. Nothing. Nothing in the box worked at all out of 3. Hopping up on the counter and lets say... providing your own, will result in more success. Zero stars.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: so is it 2 sets of 2 traps 4 total? or is it just one pack with 2 traps?**
A: 1 set of 2 traps = 2 traps... Well worth it... I do catch moths daily (sometimes a break) - usually 1 or 2 per day -- but I'm careful to smash them fast so they don't suffer though. I use a butter knife with a little piece of paper towel on the end. (first time I didn't use the paper towel and my knife got stuck to the glue)

**Q: How long can one trap last?**
A: The package recommends every 3 months. I have left them a little longer, but usually change them out at 3 months. It also depends on the how bad the infestation is. During the warmer months the traps fill up faster. I have tried several brands, this on is by far the best. The other ones do not last as long.

**Q: When a female lays 100 eggs, what % are male vs female ? There seem to be a lot more males.**
A: Generally a sex ratio will be 1:1.

**Q: Does this catch Indian Meal Moth ?**
A: This product is effective for the standard meal moths, but it has not been tested for this specific meal moth.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cheaper Than Others And Just As Effective..
*by J***S on September 29, 2017*

This is the second 2 pack I have bought of these...Except that the other pack was a different brand and more expensive..So this time I got these and they are the exact same thing. Same size with sticky surface inside, lure pad that you attach, and same instructions. The only difference with these is the other more expensive brand comes already put together with all you having to do is apply the lure pad. These come flat and have to be folded where you might get your fingers on the sticky part...But its simple and the effort is very much worth the savings. Had it up and running in less than 30 sec...As to the way they work, so far this is performing the same way as the other ones I had which is excellent...Though its true that these traps attract and catch only male moths, that is all you need. It will take a few days to be really noticed, but the collection of dead moths will appear in the trap and you will notice a very discernible difference in the number of moths flying around. Without the male moths, the females can't mate and eventually the whole herd dies off...I know for a fact it works just that simply for the other brand I had was up for better than two months and got full of moths and the house was cleaned out...Unfortunately they returned for another season and I got one of these going again to corral the varmints...Though this brand doesn't mention it, the other one said that one of these can easily cover 1200 sq feet. Just enough for one to handle it in my home and I saved the other one...The two pack should be enough for near any size house... In conclusion, this Terro brand appears to be the very same product, and more importantly, is working the very same way as the other brand I bought here which was over $3 more expensive...Just remember to be patient with it and plan to leave it up for at least a couple of months. It's good deal money wise and very effective for your moth problem...( I have researched moths in the house online and don't bother to try to locate the source anymore as they suggest...I just can't find anything). Go for it....Very much recommended..
