Decent recovery shoe, it is the same brand my podiatrist uses at half the price they charge for it.

Very affordable
I was given orders to go to a specialist and be fitted for the same thing as these. The ones the specialist had were almost a hundred dollars each shoe! I bought mine at Amazon for 37.00 for the pair. The doctor couldn't see any difference. They are a great product at a affordable price!

Does what is supposed to
This shoe when coupled with the peg insert does well. It could use a better fastening system but it gets the job done.

Meets the need, Velcro fastening is a bit awkward.
Did the job, lasted as long as needed. The challenge is that the Velcro fastening and underlying “tongue” get out of order, so it can be difficult to fasten/unfasten. But it served the purpose and assisted with surgical recovery.

Buy from Amazon, retail shop wanted 100% more. Price was right, save it as you may need it again.
Wearing for over a month now. Had to wash a few time but did all cleaning by hand. Velchro holds up well and protects toes from rubbing .

Recommend shoe for gout

Obviously not compatible with Pegassist insole.
I purchased the Darco Med-Surge shoe on 9/4/2022 along with a Pegassist insole. The insole caused my foot to ride high in the shoe. It was impossible to keep the shoe tight enough to hold my foot in the shoe thus allowing my heel to come out of the shoe and for me to walk (uncomfortably) on top of the heel of the shoe. until I could return home to replace the shoe. The shoe gave up the ghost completely last week (week ending 10/1/2022) while I was on vacation. I've had Darco shoes I the past that have served me better. I am now searching for one with a higher back and sides that is compatible with the Pegassist insole. Certainly not this one.

Bad product, supplier and delivery
Terrible product and supplier not to mention far too late delivery took nearly 2 month t arrive and total dissapointment with quality overall terrible
