Culminating in the first reveal of Smaug the Magnificent, rising from beneath the massed hordes of gold within the mountain, I was blown away by the stunning detail of the dragon and his every mannerism is captured magnificently by Benedict Cumberbatch`s voice over. Stunning!! OK. So I`m a die hard fan and could not fault this movie in anyway, despite the obvious additions and subtractions from the original story, it moves along at a great pace leading from one tight spot to another, with a whole load of backstory added that was never part of the original book. Love it! Love it! Review: Super second part! - Having The Hobbit made over 3 movies is excellent for being able to get so much detail carried through from the book! Of course very well made movie as you would expect and only leaves you wishing it would continue once you reach the end. Only to have to put up with waiting till the end of the year to get the concluding installment. Picture and sound just out of the world on my Panasonic plasma and running DTS Master Audio through my 9.2 setup. I only wish such detail and a trilogy per book had of been made for the Lord of the Rings also. But then again I am fanatical! Hahahahahaha......
