Sun Essential Oils 8 oz Lemon Eucalyptus Essential Oil – Aromatherapy Oil

This review is for Sun Organic - Lemon Eucalyptus (Huge 8oz) Best Essential Oil.I bought this to try against mosquitos. First - I use a brand of lemon-eucalyptus mosquito repellant that works great for me at preventing mosquito bites. Second - This smells just like that. I suspect if it was a mixture of lemon and eucalyptus, it might not smell like "lemon eucalyptus". I put several drops into water in an essential oils vaporizer and put it outside on our back porch - yes there were mosquitos around. Even though the vaporizer put out such a light vapor, it kept us all from getting bitten for hours. I was amazed. We also used a fan to distribute it. If you are really curious and skeptical, I suggest reading the CDC web page for more information on what oil of lemon eucalyptus is and how it was tested.That said, I'm happy with this as a mosquito deterrent. I suspect many of the original recipes that reviewers have posted would work quite well too. Cheers! Enjoy!

I'm pretty disappointed in this one. I use lemon eucalyptus essential oil in a sonic diffuser at night to help keep my sinuses clear and I thought I'd try this brand. Uh, it sucks. It's much too thick to disperse very well and it barely has a scent at all. Even sticking my nose into the bottle and inhaling I can barely smell it. It leaves a thick oily residue in my diffuser and hardly works at all. I would NOT recommend this one, I'm not even sure what I will do with the rest of this bottle. It's pretty useless to me.

I love the scent of eucalyptus mixed with lemon oil. Mild and soothing. Great to keep in your bathroom cabinet for use during the sinus/allergy season, as well as flu season. Just place a drop or two on your pillow or sheets. Great for people who are sensitive to strong scents/ fragrance.

Not sure what is different about this lemon eucalyptus, but it smells off. It’s one I’ve bought a lot. This is my first time with this brand though. I get nauseated every time I walk by and smell it. I tried watering the smell down by adding more lemon essential oil. Then some lime essential oil. Still that over powering nauseating smell. So then I tried a diffuser thinking it was to concentrated. Nope, still nauseating. So I returned it.

The smell is pleasant! I wanted to use this in my dish soap to make a solid bar for washing dishes. WRONG! Do NOT use this in soap. It accelerates like crazy. I think I can use the soap, but could not sell or even give it as gifts. It turned out horrible. This was the first time purchasing this brand of EO, and it will be my last. I won’t even try it in candles. This is useless for my purposes.

I bought this oil, along with several others in the same brand. The oil smelled rotten. I made the mistake of pouring it down my drain, and I had to rinse several times with bleach to kill the odor. I tossed the other bottles without pouring them out. Not a quality brand!!!

This works amazingly well against mosquitoes. We had been having problems with mosquitoes and someone recommended trying lemon eucalyptus oil and it works great. Found a recipe online using 50 drops of lemon eucalyptus, 10 drops of lavender, 1 teaspoon of vanilla, 4 oz of witch hazel and 4 oz of coconut oil and I am mosquito free and my skin is better for the coconut oil. I'm glad I got the big bottle as I will be making this all summer.

This arrived quickly. It has a great scent. However, it arrived without the glass dropper. We are using it for insect repellent and need to measure 10 drops. We specifically ordered this because in the description it says the dropper is included. Very disappointing that we can't use it easily without the dropper. (We ordered 2 bottles. Neither bottle included the dropper).
