Hello, this are new and warranty is provided by square trade.

Q: Is it compatible with lto 1-6 tapes? and is it plugged in with a usb?

Generally with tape drives, they are read/write N-1 and read/only N-2. E.g. LTO-7 would be able to read/write LTO-7 and LTO-6 tapes, and read only LTO-5

Q: Will this work with an imac? Will I need additional software or hardware?
