The Mako XL was created as a response to the community’s request for a larger Mako watch. As the name suggests, the Mako XL is an upsized Mako, measuring 3mm wider (44.5mm) and a third of a millimeter thicker (13.3mm). Rather than recreate the popular Mako design on a larger canvas, the design was tweaked, with bar hour markers and a 60-unit scale bezel that was devoid of a lume pip. The spear-shaped hour and minute hands and lollipop seconds hand are also hallmarks of the design. Above all, it maintains the signature diver features, including a unidirectional diver-style bezel, 200m of water resistance, strong lume, and a screwed case back, to name a few.

Great quality for good price.
Arrive on time. Very well packaged. New in the box with all papers. Seems to be keeping great time so far. Would like to see screw pins on the band for better durability. Currently just push fit pins. All in all the is a very good value from a well known and respected timepiece maker. I see this being the most worn of my collection. I also would like to see the brushed look all around on the case and band instead of the shiny sides and brushed top. This mako xl has replaced the invicta diver automatic that the pins keep breaking on the band.

Great Watch!!!
I had contemplated buying a Parnis or Coguet, I’m glad I didn’t. The watch is absolutely amazing for the money! I read about the Orient company before buying and was impressed with the fact they assemble their own movements especially for a watch at this price point. The watch has been running on time so far with no issues. I’ve not tested the water resistance but it appears to be solid. I plan on buying more from this manufacturer in the future.

Great watch for the price.
Love the value of Orient watches. Bought this for a beach trip but have found myself wearing just as much as a day to day watch. Keeps great time.

Eccellente rapporto qualità prezzo.La cassa alterna parti lucide a parti satinate, mentre il bracciale è completamente satinato e non è rastrematoverso la chiusura (le maglie misurano tutte 22mm).la ghiera unidirezionale è precisa e ha un movimento fluido con la giusta resistenza.Molto preciso (circa +4/5 secondi al giorno) (normalisimo per un automatico).Corona con chiusura a vite.Solo le lancette sono luminescenti.

La montre est magnifique et bien emballée mais après avoir règlé l'heure et la porter au poignet pour activer le mouvement automatique la montre fonctionne quelques secondes et se bloque. Plus rien ne fonctionne et le mouvement automatique a l'air défectueux. J'ai contacté le vendeur pour un échange.Je vais voir ce que cela donne.

Nice but a bit inconsistent
I bought two of these watches in black and luminous (cream dial). Each by themselves feels very nice but compare them side by side and the clasp feels different and the weight internally (that rocks to wind the spring) feels a little free in one of them. rocks more easily to wind the spring. Again, in isolation they both are very good but when compared together feel different.
