Perfect fit. Saved the water hose.

My Zero-G hose had a failed inner tubing-- leaked, but I was able to successfully repair it with these parts.If you do the repair, clamp both pieces of hose to prevent the rubber tubing from retracting from the cut outer sleeving.In the future, I will use the end-of-hose coupling supplied in this kit to replace the aluminum Zero-G original-- to prevent the seizing problem with the Zero-G hose.

First the bad: the included hose clamps are way too small and wimpy, so you'll probably need to find some other clamps for the hose you're using.Now the good: the brass parts are actually pretty well-made, and the 3/4" garden hose thread works nice and smooth. The threads on the male fitting are a bit shorter (only 9.9mm) than normal, but that's long enough if you're using one of the (3.22mm) thick washers included.Being brass, the inside diameter of the barbs (9.95mm) is as large as is possible considering it needs to fit inside a 1/2" hose. Water flow is as good as you would hope -- more than any plastic fitting would be. Outside diameter of the barbs (12.95mm) is a perfect snug fit inside the 1/2" hose I'm using (Flexzilla 1/2"). The knurl edges are sharp, so they are not going to leak or loosen.So, as long as you can find your own 1/2" clamps, these fittings should work well for you.

Excellent design, but the band clamp sizing tells me this is for repairing cheap garden hoses. I bought a length of fairly good quality garden hose to section out for various projects. The band clamp must be backed out completely before sliding over the hose, then threaded back in. to ride the worm screw. A small inconvenience, but for a few pennys more, the manufacturer could have supplied the next size larger clamp.

Put a tiny layer of vegetable oil on no side of hose end, went in with a push, tighten up and used hose all summer with no leaking at all.

These fittings are a great solution to seized hose fittings. Hoses with brass fittings are hard to find. They are also more expensive. These brass fittings are easy to install and, give new life to a hose that, might otherwise get tossed.

Not cheap aluminium. Over 1" diameter hose clamp that is 1/2" wide. Nice thick rubber washer that fits snugly. The hose slid on loose but I didn't have any problem tightening the clamp down tight.

Contrary to the item description, 19 mm flared end of the fitting will not fit 13 mm hose. The seller did not bother to create two separate descriptions for the 3/4 and 5/8 variations.
