Great for my streching and yoga!
I like this product very much. I can stretch and do my yoga without hurting my butt or having my feet slide. As another customer wrote, the end does curve upward a bit but I don't mind it because I just move the curve down with my feet if I need to. This is not a thin yoga mat or anything like one, it is about an inch thick and very comfortable when you apply pressure onto it from your body.I would recommend this, the price was right. It did smell when I first opened it but the smell was gone within a day and didn't stink up the room or anything like that.

Nice, Convenient,
I didn't expect the mat to be coming so soon, which is a major plus since I now could do my crunches on my floor on top of the mat. Since I'm considered a "bony" person, I couldn't do crunches on many surfaces(Tile, wood, carpet, etc) because it would hurt the tail of my spine. The padding on the mat is great and the cushion cushions he tail of my spine so I can do my crunches correctly and comfortably. It rolls up at the end but that's no problem, has straps so it can be packed up and moved easily making it quite convenient. The mat is quite huge and is perfect for any other type of exercises. People keep ranting on the smell but it only lasts for about a day or so until it goes away (well for mine it did). Overall 5/5 mat in my case.

Good but very slick on the floor and hands
Very good for doing exercises on your back and knees. Thick enough that I don't need to fold it over. Have used the mat for 3 months now and it has held up well. Four stars given for two reasons: 1) the mat slides a LOT. There is no grip on the bottom so when I am taking a mat class at the gym it slides around. Also not good for yoga because of the slide factor. 2) The mat never lies flat. The end curls up after being rolled and I can never seem to get it down. Unless I am using the wrong side of the mat, it seems impossible to get it to lay flat.

Why would someone use this mat for jumping rope???
I read a review of this mat that said that it was bad for jumping rope, among other idiot uses, and gave it only 3 stars. Wtf?It's an excersise mat. For lieing down and doing excercises. The description could not be more simple. But, I'll review it in case others are confused (either by the product or by the other ppl's reviews). The material that it's made of could not be better for an excercise mat. The mat is about and inch thick. It's made out of like a kind of synthetic-rubbery material. The material is such that it's equally supportive of your contours and firm enough where you'll avoid the distraction of whatever surface is underneath the mat.The mat is a little bit bouncy. Not bouncy enough to jump rope off of it! But just enough to give you an extra push to do 4 or 5 more sit ups.The corners do roll up a little bit but the length is long enough (just over 6 ft.) to not need the whole amount anyway.Highly recommend.

Nice mat, but it tastes funny...
Recently purchased the Valeo foam exercise mat, and it works great. It doesn't hurt my back at all to work out now!One small problem I have is that I think I may have been sent the wrong version of this product, as the mat doesn't taste like chocolate or peanut butter at all. Is it possible I've been sent the original flavored mat by mistake?

Perfect for what it's made for.
Want to plop down and do some exercises on a comfortable surface and don't want to spend more than $20? Buy this mat. You'll read reviews about it smelling...or tearing...or not rolling out fully. It's not that those reviews are wrong, they're just a bit misleading. Here's the deal.- Don't wear sneaks while using this mat - you might catch the rubber against this soft-foam mat and rip it.- Materials like this smell a little "factory" when you first get them, don't fret, just let it air out for a day or so and the smell will dissipate- This mat is inexpensive - the material isn't very heavy and therefore when you roll it out it won't lay perfectly flat. But who cares, you're going to sit on it/lay on it anyway! It rolls out flat but at the end will be slightly curved until you use it more often - it doesn't effect your exercises.I do light bodyweight workouts where I need to put a knee down or knuckles down - this does the job nicely. Do I think I'll have it for years? Nope, I predict 1-3 years max. But that's why i bought it at 20bucks!If you're not hardcore, and just need some inexpensive padding to make your exercises more comfortable the Valeo Foam Mat is perfect.

Very nice!
This thing is crazy comfortable. I do my ab work-outs on it and all the pain I use to feel when on my sides is completely gone. It has a rubbery smell but....it's rubbery. It does go away after a day or two, so no big deal there. As for the people who said it curls up on you, yes it does, it does come rolled up after all. But all you do it unroll it, roll in the opposite direction, and it's fixed by the next day (Common logic, people. Come on.) So that shouldn't be a legit complaint from anyone. Really thick, feels great. For the price this thing is a steal. Stop thinking about it and just buy it, for Pete's sake.

Perfect cushioning for exercises that require you to lay down or sit!
I've had this product for a few weeks now, and I love it.I use it for doing exercises while laying on my back. I work out in my basement, and the floor is concrete. I have back problems, and hard surfaces hurt me quite a bit. This had just the right amount of cushion to be exceptionally comfortable. It's long enough to accommodate for my height, with room to spare. This is perfect for situps, pushups, or anything that requires you to be on a hard surface. The straps are brilliant, and allow for it to roll up and store perfectly in any space.A few issues with the product are that because it rolls up, one of the ends will curl. I usually put a weight down on the curled end and that solves the issue and doesn't interfere with my workout. I also would not recommend standing on the product, as the material will compress and flatten under such a pressure point. It also gets dirty pretty easily.Overall though, if you're looking for something to cushion your back while doing exercises that require you to sit or lay down, I highly recommend it.
