SCL Moto G7 Play Case Cover for Moto G7 Play Case, Brushed Carbon Fiber Texture, Anti-Scratch and Shock Absorption Technology – Black

I received this case a couple of days ago, so have not used it much yet. However, it looks good, and seems very sturdy and robust. The case was very easy to fit onto my Motorola G7 Power handset, and the cutouts for camera and fingerprint reader match exactly. A bit improvement on my previous wallet-style phone cover, which my children tell me is old-fashioned!

The cover looks good and fits snugly, appears well made and it's well priced so overall very happy. Please note that mine doesn't have the 'grippy' areas shown on the ad, they are shiny instead so offer less grip. Also while the cut outs are really good, the power button and volume control aren't cut out but covered which makes the buttons much less responsive.

I ordered this at the same time as ordering my Moto G7 Power phone, not realising that the phone actually came with a case. However this one is much better - the Motorola one which comes with the phone looks quite posh (being made of shiny clear plastic) but it's slippery and I was concerned that I'd drop the phone when getting it out of my pocket. This black one is much easier to hold safely and fits my phone perfectly. And actually, not being a poser(!), I prefer the appearance of this black one.

I recently left feedback on this which was totally negative due to the fact that I hadn't received the item and was continually informed to contact Royal Mail. To my surprise the item arrived today and it is perfect. Fantastic fit, very purposeful for its intention, to protect the phone.The good - Very reasonable pricing, great product.The Bad - Poor communication, slow delivery.

Whilst this case does increase the bulk of an already bulky phone, it clearly protects the phone well. I have no doubts that this would protect the phone, if I were to drop it.

Saw good reviews then luckily was able to look at one of the same brand that a colleague had for a different make of phone so I ordered this one. Generally very pleased, a worthwhile upgrade from the gel case that came with the phone, very square solid edges, pleasing to hold and doesn't feel soft or slippery. The edges are proud of the screen so should protect it but aren't very high, so I've bought some screen protectors too. Only downside I can see so far, the case right at the bottom between the Motorola logo and the power socket bends a bit, probably inevitably. It'll probably be going strong in two years time when the phone has worn out.

Fits the G7 Perfectly. All cutouts line up with the phone functions. The fingerprint reader is not obscured and helps to locate your finger onto the reader. It does not interfere with the side buttons which still work without having to use excess pressure.The case has a good grip without being tacky.The supplied stand is not really of any use, flimsy plastic with a carbon fibre pattern, not really worth using.I've had the same style case on a Motorola G5 for 2 years. After multiple drops onto concrete, ceramic, brick etc the phone is still intact with no screen damage. SO I'm confident that this will perform as well on the G7

Easy to fit and bubble free. Seemed to crack easier than others.
