They make AA battery chargers and you can use two AA batteries in the mics and in ear belt packs also **Q: Does this unit connect to the original power supply or do you need an extension or "Y" cable to power this charging base?** A: You can daisy chain the docks together. You must have an existing dock with the power cable and this screws into the side of the existing dock. No need for a y cable.
