Julia Roberts and Richard Gere were so perfect as Vivian and Edward. Their chemistry was amazing. Julia Roberts is a prostitute and Richard Gere a business tycoon. Edward pays Vivian to stay six days with him and they fall in love. Her love changes him where he helps Ralph Bellamy build up his company instead of buying it to rip apart. Vivian is making him a more caring person and one who can enjoy life. Despite the odds Vivian gets her fairy tale ending even if we know in real life the odds of that happening were slim to none. Hector Elizondo was excellent as the hotel manager and is in most Gary Marshall movies. I read a few negative reviews- one from a prostitute - ripping this movie to shreds. This is a family movie and meant for entertainment which it does with a fantastic script- perfect cast. It’s the fairy tale ending we all want to see. A happy movie. If you want reality watch Law and Order SVU. Highest recommendation.

I adore Richard Gere and I like Julia Roberts. I have seen this movie sooo many times since it premiered! And I will watch it a dozen more times!

This is a romantic comedy that you can watch every few years and happy like it's an old friend. It's a classic rom com!
