Cannot mute "off mains" alarm. Makes unit effectively useless for home or office use.
Unit has a piercing alarm that sounds every 30 seconds when the power goes off. At home it will wake you up in the night and refuse to shut up until you turn it off - which means no power to the devices you want to protect. In the office, try working with a shrill alarm going off every 30 seconds. The one I bought is going back. An un-cancellable loud alarm feature? Who the heck thought "that's a good idea"?

Died after six months
Beeps continously if the power goes off. Then just stopped charging, beeped twice and that was it no more power. No diagnostics, no warning. Dead and useless after just six months. Avoid.

An excellent piece of equipment, but...
I bought this on the advice of APC Tech Support (very good) to power my router during a power cut, so I could still use my laptop. It's an excellent piece of equipment, but (as mentioned in another APC UPS report) it came with an US mains connector.Amazon UK will send out a UK connector on request, but why wasn't it despatched with one in the first place?

Do not buy
Sibling bought it for me as birthday gift. Got the 1000w option. Cannot even handle supplying a ps5 and tv. Every 1-3 months it will omit the battery warning (constant beep) while under use and plugged in.

Good UPS.
It was easy to install, but I needed to provide a UK mains lead to power it. I also needed to buy some extension leads to convert the IEC outputs to UK 13 amp mains sockets. The instructions says don't use extension leads. Perhaps I should have bought the universal socket version. It has proved it's worth already as I have suffered 3 power cuts in the week since I bought it, yet have been able to keep my Internet connection on along with my wireless DECT phones because they are powered by this Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS).It is only 4 stars because initially the UPS gave off a burning smell, which has reduced over time.
